Dan Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Lots of talk about changing things up, benching Hamlin, starting Bishop, etc.; just generally seeing what guys can do. I completely disagree. This is our last real game of the regular season. They need to play this like a playoff game and see how they stack up against the #1 team in the NFC (based on record). It’s the final real game! After this… we get 3 games to try things out, rest players, do whatever they want. The only true consideration after tomorrow is seeding. If we can win, and depending on what the Chiefs & Steelers do maybe we play things differently. But we’ll have 3 weeks with the only real concern being can they maintain the intensity they’ll need once the playoffs start. We still have a long way to go! Wrapping up the division like we did is just insane for how this team is able to end the season. But, for one more week, I’d play like it all matters; especially since they lost focus, drank too much of their own kool-aid, and ***** the bed last week. 5 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Not a very flattering comment on McDermott from a team executive to Diana Russini. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5993794/2024/12/14/nfl-news-belichick-jets-kyle-shanahan-49ers/ The Lions are the league’s No. 1 scoring machine, with the Bills right behind them. One NFL team executive said he has eyes on the coaches in this matchup: “I am just watching to see: Will it be a gutsy Dan Campbell fourth-down dice roll that makes the difference, or a Sean McDermott clock-management decision that determines the outcome?” 1 2 1 1 Quote

I thought the same, but then the comparison is pretty unfair. If you start at or close to the top, your slope will always be zero or negative. You can only have a large positive slope if you start at the bottom (what applies to Detroit). 1 Quote

The chargers had a game-clinching interception on 4th down. The chargers DB then fumbled the ball after the pick, recovered by the Pats, who went onto score and win. Classic patriots black magic luck. That was the Divisional game the year before that got Schottenheimer fired. Quote

Rousseau looks like Sean Jones or frickin Charles Haley in some games and doesn't play to that level in others Same thing with Oliver Heck even epenesa will flash moments of being a dominant de Frustrating I really hope they make a statement against the lions. I really want to win the super bowl this year 😔 💯 Quote

No_Matter_What Posted December 14 Posted December 14 What's up with these White elevations? They want him to be able to purchase more expensive Christmas gifts or what? Quote
No_Matter_What Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Anyway, Smoot able to get back this quickly is great. Hopefully he stays healthy. 1 2 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Smoot could be huge. Spector is a solid reserve and good special teams guy. He should dress over Buffalo Joe 1 Quote
Process Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Smoot back is real nice. Twitter docs were thinking not until playoffs at best. Quote
