Well, the clear view here seems to be Hamlin and Douglas stink, and Rapp mostly injures his teammates by launching himself into them.  So, what are we truly down here, given the expertise on this Board?

Hamlin does stink

Douglas stunk last week

Rapp does injure himself and his teammates constantly with reckless play

I see the guys behind all of these three players as very capable replacements, if not possible upgrades in certain aspects like speed and athleticism, and in the case of Hyde smarts and experience.

I'm thinking about it, somehow I think it will be perfect for this franchise, this season, and just how things go: I think we finally return a touchdown this week.

Indoor stadium, the Lions have a lot of injuries meaning their special teams core unit is full of guys that are newer. Just a hunch, a wild guess, who knows but I see it.

Rapp, Hamlin, Douglas aren’t long term injuries.

All that really matters for the Bills is starting the Playoffs as healthy as possible.

Chris Simms brings up a good point - he thinks Bills will need to go aggressive against good teams on defense, meanwhile our coaches seems to be going the other way talking about simplifying and fundamentals in this weeks press conferences.

That’s the only benefit I can see playing all starters all the way to the end - reps on defense with different strategy. But then you’re putting that on tape and McDermott come Playoff time has said do what we do, keep everything the same, do what you’re good at and so forth.

I don’t expect the Bills to change their approach, therefore health.

If they lose it's not the end of the world. Come home 10-4 with three winnable games left on the schedule. Bills will be 13-4 or 12-5 if that last game is meaningless for them and they treat it like a preseason game.

It's not as a team but it's pry Josh's biggest regular season game as far as his legacy goes up to this point in his career.  If he had a good game and we win he's winning MVP.  He'd have to have an elite game like he did last week if we lose though.  I can already seeing the MVP voters pivoting to Barkley if he breaks Dickerson's record if Josh has a lousy or subpar game.

So we're playing probably the best team in the nfl Sunday, and the bills won't even get more than one full practice this week. Gonna be super interesting Sunday

If Douglas, Rapp, and Hamlin all miss the game, thinking our starting secondary will be Benford, Elam, Johnson, Lewis & Bishop?

yeah i agree. But wouldn’t be surprised if Hyde dresses and takes a few snaps at S.

Yea he took a big step back this year in a contract year.  Think he probably would’ve lost some snaps this week even if healthy

Not making any excuses for him here, but speaking of just the Rams game in particular, when any DL doesn't even get close enough to make the QB hurry his throw all game then it's much harder for everyone in the back end.

Douglas should have been benched during last week's Rams game.

Same could be said for much of the defense

Oh yea, some of the voters are already saying it’s Josh’s “unless Saquon breaks the rushing record”.  Well, Saquon likely will break the record bc his last three games are against trash running defenses.  Which means if Josh is going to win MVP, he needs to not give any reasons otherwise these last four weeks.

Need to try and clamp down on Gibbs and Jamo, IMO. Amon-Ra will get his regardless, so try to eliminate their explosive plays. When both Gibbs and Jamo are going off, that’s when Detroit is the most dangerous animal.

I agree with others, we don’t want this game to be a track meet. Pound the rock on offense, control the time of possession. Make each offensive possession a war of attrition. Have to convert in the red zone.

Should be a really great game, I hope that we’re on the winning side. I expect the team to play well in this one.

Well maybe some more film study & motivation is what they need this week. The defense line needs a fire let under their asses.

I forget what team but they didn't practice for a week and a half because of covid and still won next game.

.Bills played in a dome/LA and are going to another dome.

Detroit isnt the best anything. Just a team with regular season wins and their defense is possibly more injured

I think it was the titans. And why aren't the Bills practicing?
