Fire McD and Hire Belichek after we lose AGAIN in the playoffs

Ole Bill rode the coattails of Tom Brady for nearly all those SBs. Then he told the Patriots owner Tom Brady was done as an NFL QB...who went on to with another SB with the Buccaneers. Belichick hired his old former DC and made him his OC...who went on to ruin QB Mac Jones. Why does anyone think the Patriots fired him?

 

Also, let's not forget that Bill was the GM in making all the personnel decisions in the last decade. Last I looked at that 3-10 Patriots team and it is devoid of solid talent in nearly every area. Anyone who wants Belichick as an NFL HC NOW...is a few cans short.

Sorry...I'm at the point where I'm outright angry we haven't sniffed a SB with a generational QB. Belichick sucking without Brady would only be relevant if we had a scrub at QB. We do not.

 

Yeah...I think I'll take the more despised, yet much better HC over the nice guy who freezes in big moments.

My biggest concern with how enamored people are with Sean is how much they praise his "leading men" appeal. These are grown men. Yes, some are younger men, but they're still grown men. This isn't high school football. This isn't even college football. He's paid to win games and win titles. I'm not for excusing troublemakers, but I'm not going to line up for him to receive a gold jacket for winning a bunch of games, but wasting the potential of an obvious once in a lifetime talent. We MUST want better things than AFC East titles. Sadly, I still feel we're one and done in the playoffs outside of us drawing Baltimore in the Wildcard round.

I’ll pass on Belichick. But yes, I’d be on board with firing him. Good coach, but is terrible in close games. Also, his defense always underperforms in the playoffs and that’s supposed to be his niche.

Ownership probably doesn't want to fire a good HC because he helped get them out of the dark ages. And because a new HC could be worse. 

 

Division titles were impressive in 2020-2021. By 2024, no fan cares about division titles when we follow it up by not coming close to getting to a SB with an elite QB.

 

The Patriots won the AFC east 17 out of 19 years. 11 straight times. I don't think many will remember that. They will remember them consistently getting to, and usually winning SB's.

The man made some really, really, really stupid decisions his last few years as HC/GM of the Patriots, and there was a solid reason Robert Kraft fired him. Kraft loved the guy, so it probably tore him up to need to fire him. After all, he went to Kraft and told him Brady was done as an NFL quarterback, who then went on to win a Super Bowl with the Bucs. How moronic! 

 

The very last thing I would want is that old fart telling Terry Pegula that Josh Allen is done at some point. He doesn't know what he is doing with an offense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This fascination with Ben Johnson puzzles me a bit.  We’d be moving on from a HC with a ton of experience to a first time head coach that’s OC of a team with an oline so good they’d make any nfl oc look competent.  I would not at all be surprised if he flames out when he finally takes a shot somewhere 

 

heck Ulbrich was thought of to be a big head coaching candidate to the point where the jets thought they’d get a boost from him taking over early and he has failed his audition massively 

it’s a big risk and you better be sure you’re right if you take that chance lol

Then you go with an experienced HC. But those guys aren't out there. Payton, Harbaugh, Tomlin, McVay, Shanahan etc aren't leaving their teams.

When will we ever have the opportunity to have such an accomplished coach available ?? Say what you want about him as a head coach without Brady, but guess what?! He would have Josh freaking Allen!! 

 

And being the ultimate competitor that he is, he would love nothing more than to play the patriots and jets twice per year. 

 

McD proved, yet AGAIN, that he comes up small in big moments. He pisses down his leg at crunch time. He’s not ever going to win the Super Bowl. He will get out coached again and again and again when it matters. We are wasting Josh’s prime years with this bum.
