JPL7 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 (edited) If Terry had any balls, he’d fire McD and Hire Belichek immediately after we lose AGAIN in the playoffs this season. Period! Plain and simple. When will we ever have the opportunity to have such an accomplished coach available ?? Say what you want about him as a head coach without Brady, but guess what?! He would have Josh freaking Allen!! And being the ultimate competitor that he is, he would love nothing more than to play the patriots and jets twice per year. McD proved, yet AGAIN, that he comes up small in big moments. He pisses down his leg at crunch time. He’s not ever going to win the Super Bowl. He will get out coached again and again and again when it matters. We are wasting Josh’s prime years with this bum. Terry, open up another pipeline and pay whatever Bill Belichick wants! Edited December 9 by JPL7 2 16 7 1 8 14 5 3 12 Quote

Sojourner Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I’m a huge McD fan as he’s a great galvanizer of men and has a history of consistently winning. However, if we fall short of the AFCC then I’d consider hopping on the “Get rid of him” bandwagon. We had many issues that could have derailed last season and he got the team to finish 11-6 after being 6-6 going into the bye. 2022 we finished the season 13-3* after being 6-3. The guy can get this team to play. Sure, a large part of that is because of Josh but keeping 53 men motivated and driven collectively is the key component of a head coach. This season when it comes to playoffs, is fair for it to be a make or break imo. 4 5 2 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I’m absolutely on board with it. McDermott either get to the Super Bowl this year or bring in Belichek. Enough wasting Josh’s legs 15 5 1 2 1 Quote

He is also fresh off running that entire franchise straight into the ground or it would make a tiny bit of sense to me haha if he was 20 years younger it wouldn’t be particularly crazy Edited December 9 by Generic_Bills_Fan 1 Quote

In a world of hypotheticals, if they do indeed repeat the output of the Rams and we don’t get out of the WCP or Divisional games, is that showcasing the visual representation the Pegula’s have in their subconscious thus creating doubt at seasons end? Also, as it stands I might be in the minority who believe we are still Super Bowl bound. Quote
Boatdrinks Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Wait, I thought we wanted an offensive minded HC to go with our elite QB ? 1 1 Quote

I’m not a fan of that hire either. Just saying. If he won 6 simply by riding the coattails then Josh isn’t too shabby to be repeating that philosophy of success. Quote
Draconator Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Bill Belichek. Offensive genius. Anyone watch Superbowl 25 highlights? Who was the defensive coordinator for the Giants? 2 1 Quote

Rams made a ton of plays in this one in tight coverage it was the best collective game from qb/multiple wrs I think I’ve seen in awhile. It’s gonna take a lot to deny Josh playoff wins imo. a wildcard round upset would make next year virtually Super Bowl or bust for mcd. Edited December 9 by Generic_Bills_Fan 2 1 Quote
Nelius Posted December 9 Posted December 9 That timeout…but 42 pts on the road. McD is a living Larry David gif 1 1 Quote

Absolutely perfect game by the Rams offense, particularly Stafford and Puka. They matched Josh and the gang. Yeah, I wouldn’t be opposed to that as I definitely feel he has some leash but how many times can you keep letting that go? It has to be competitive in the AFCC if you fall short of a Super Bowl. 17 is hands down a multiple championship caliber quarterback. I just hope history and its accolades follow that sentiment. He isn’t getting any younger. Quote

I don’t even know that he’s great and that’s not even my argument really…I think people aren’t really expecting how much new Hc/gms turn over the roster if mcd truly is good not great there’s a better shot he gets some good fortune and wins a superbowl than a full reload under a first time hc being successful and that competitive in Josh’s prime.. single game elimination playoffs really are a bit more luck based than anyone cares to admit Edited December 9 by Generic_Bills_Fan 2 Quote
