Matt Milano - rusty or washed?

Probably not washed. Just 2 games played since last October. Was a great player , so I give him benefit of the doubt here.

He looks like he's carrying some extra weight. I don't think he should have just walked right back in to his starting role. Williams has looked very good.

Not sure if it would have mattered today, but wonder how D would have looked with Dorian instead of Milano. Maybe 1 extra punt??

JFC,  this was his 2nd game since Sep ‘23.  It’s obviously going to take sometime for him to get back in game shape.

He’s getting old and coming back from over a year off. No clue if he’ll ever be good again…let’s hope he will be.

I’m more concerned about our d-line than I am a player that has only played 2 games in the past 14 months. Milano, IMO, was the least of our issues on defense today.

He’ll lose about 15 pounds if he’d just shed that arm brace.

 Truth.  Our D Line disappears at the worst possible moments (or in today's case. The entire game).

Maybe. They had zero pass rush and anytime the Bills tried to change it up, the Rams handled it. Maybe just a few passes that Stafford had to throw early etc.

Williams was playing pretty good football. I also gave Milano a pass because of weather, but he don’t look ready.  Biggest question is why he isn’t get worked in over time.

Which ironically is the amount of guys we had on the field when we were trying to block that final punt.

7 players when you consider Johnson and Douglas looked like 2024 Rams Tre White out there.

Rusty for sure. These five games are important for him before playoffs.

As if 30 yo was a factor here ha ha. Come on. Especially since by not playing, his body didn't take a pounding.

 

So to me he is rusty. Now, if he remains rusty than yeah, he's washed. But "fans"...

Where I was watching, we thought we saw Milano torpedo a couple plays consecutively (unsure when this was in the game) right as we were openly wondering about him. Like he is predictably still not always trusting his reads and triggering downhill the way we've seen in the past, and of course that one play Corum absolutely abused him in the hole. But I think he's already flashing, and we can look forward to increased impact as we near the playoffs.

 

The entire 2nd level got abused today, with Taron Johnson especially being targeted early and often.
