You want McD to be the special teams coordinator too?

McDermott is the leader of the team and it's his responsibility at the end of the day. Who hired Smiley?

Nah just add it to the list of things we need Josh Allen to do so we can do it right.

Cant expect the HC to run a tight a ship. Thats a bridge too far. Brady was probably coaching up punt block in New England.

Well then I guess we’re firing the best coach we’ve had in the last 30 years, huh

Contrast this with the way KC goes down swinging until the very last gasp — which has literally won them several games this year.

Can’t even hate at this point, some teams get it and some just don’t.

Tyrod Taylor was the best QB we had had in 30 years and we dumped his ass to find someone far superior.

Didnt we? Or did I dream that?

Yeah, totally fair. Let’s just apply the same logic to all of the success too, not just the failures…

This is a damning indictment of Drew Smiley especially after the blocked punt.

His incompetence has hurt us for years

It is. Tyrod was fine. He took us to the WC round for the first time in 17 years. He clearly was not gonna get us to the next level and we canned him to find someone better.

There were LOTS of posters afraid to let Tuh-rod go. Lots and lots. “He’s the best we’ve had since Kelly!” “He just broke the drought, we can’t get rid of him, we will be right back to missing the playoffs!” “What if the next QB sucks more?”

so yeah. Same thing.

If you find a better candidate than McD out there you let me know. Otherwise I’ll happily stick with him.

And has retained him through continuous errors?

Even worse our returner let the ball bounce instead of trying to return it which allowed the clock to run out.

This was so strange, he must have been told to do that. Did they assume there would be enough time to have like 1 second left on the clock? Pick it up and try to do something my guy.

He’s coaching the offense in Detroit right now. He has a far worse QB and is the one seed and is the odds on favorite to play in the Super Bowl.

”You can’t guarantee the next QB will be better than Tyrod” energy lmao

Not when Terry Pegula is the owner.

There’s also zero guarantee that Johnson turns into a good head coach. Matt Nagy and Josh McDaniels were seen as sure things too.

Unfortunately, no way we are firing Smiley this late in the season and switching ST coordinator.

Put it on the list for next year (along with monster 1T DT).
