Kelly to Allen Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I need to see Elam. Like he is our best man CB and he's not even active. It makes no sense. I need to see Elam starting if Douglas is banged up for a week or two Like seriously. The Elam stuff is the most bizarre thing I can remember. 1 1 Quote
peterpan Posted December 9 Posted December 9 The D always folds against the good teams. They look good padding their stats against bad teams. And having Josh run up the score aure helps. 2 1 Quote

whorlnut Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Sadly, this will likely show up in the playoffs at the wrong time. Think about it…the defense has been the issue for while now and has cost us wins in almost every “game of the year” in the nfl. Allen plays his guts out and the defense fails him. What makes it worse is that that side of the ball is our HCs specialty. Not a lot of confidence right now that it won’t show up again in a tight situation. 1 Quote

Yes, knocked out before the end of the game. Knocked out early before the game ended. A two touchdown lead is nothing with a whole quarter left to play. McDermott is known for blowing leads repeatedly in the fourth quarter. Quote
86poker Posted December 9 Posted December 9 We can't spend the majority of the game in zone if they are absolutely killing us. They moved to man way way way to late 1 Quote

Johnnycage46 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Most likely, yes. Depending on whi we play. Could see it happening against Baltimor, Pittsburgh Quote
97bills Posted December 9 Posted December 9 It has every year, if you can’t stop the run, or get pressure on the QB , our front 4 are a bunch of jags. Has been for years 1 1 Quote
dpberr Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Most NFL teams can't dissect zone. The Ravens can via the run and the Texans and Rams can with their quick receivers. As others have said...if zone isn't working, they need to change immediately, not wait. 1 Quote

Gotta hope Ravens get knocked out before they play us, Bengals don't sneak in and Chiefs don't get right. Chargers, Steelers, Colts, Broncos offenses don't scare me. Yeah, but look at the coaches of those teams. All 3 are superior to McD, they will exploit the Bills' weaknesses 1 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Schematically, I assumed they would play the Rams similar to the dolphins with waddle and Hill. Sort of put a shell on it; give up some short stuff. Clamp down in the red zone. Instead, looked like we played a lot of man, and were pretty aggressive with some blitzes and run blitzes. I wonder why they felt they had to play so much man on Puca and Kupp. It obviously didn’t work at all. Quote

I defended myself saying I was being realistic, once again people were not happy by my assessment. Im glad more people are opening up their eyes. Thank you for this post. Next week will be tough, but we will end the season 13-4 on a high note/winning streak rolling into the playoffs. Edited December 9 by Gman10 Quote
Bockeye Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I think a lot of the playoff games will be a track meet. Last team with the ball and score wins. Today, we lost the track meet. Lots of people wanted this, i.e., just get Allen more weapons and focus on offense. Quote
Big Blitz Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Safe to say this is why folks want nothing to do with the Bengals. 1 Quote

I doubt the Bengals make the postseason, and their defense is not what it was if they manage to. 12 minutes ago, Big Blitz said: Not surprised at these numbers. The guy was invisible today. Quote
