sadly the probability of a Dan Marino (or even Philip Rivers) type trajectory is looking very likely for JA#17.

I have to believe our defense will be better down the stretch. Considering Josh with a full complement of weapons will put up big numbers, he’s capable of putting the team on his shoulders. If that false start is called and they make one stop, do you think Josh doesn’t pull that game out of his rear end as atrocious as our defense was.?

10/11 3rd down defense has to be some sort of record in the McD era. How many punts have been blocked in McD era? Those are the diff. Stop 2 of those and you likely win the ball game.

I agree.

Today was just all around weird.

That was an all-time great performance by Josh ruined by terrible defense, bonehead special teams, and idiotic coaching. I feel bad that he gave it his all, and the team & coaches let him down.

And we’ve seen this story a number of times in big games before…. That’s the worst part.

Josh puts his cape on every week.

Not to turn it into another MVP conversation but that is exactly what an MVP is.

There isn’t another player in this league who adds more value to their respective team.

Without Superman we really are a sub .500 team.

Without 17, we're a 4 win team.  He should already have at least 1 mvp if it wasn't for yearly garbage defenses.

This year definitely. The only teams I think we would have beaten so far are Jacksonville and Tennessee. Likely a split with Miami at best.

I don’t understand how some of you could complain about the refs when it was them that kept us in that game the entire time. That could’ve easily been a 17-20 point loss.

I think there was a punt blocked by Steelers in season opener a few years ago.

Josh frickin Allen is the best player in the league

With out a doubt but yesterdays game proved that even superman needs a little help once in a while this loss is on ST's and the lack of Defense .

Not on Josh !!

He did miss that one throw.

You say that, but apparently Josh's performance yesterday was worse than Stafford (ok, can accept an argument there), Darnold and Purdy, only being on a level with Goff's.

I mean, he wasn't Superman until the second offensive series of the third quarter onwards, so that may have an impact on this but... what else can be said?

Do they often give player of the week awards to player on losing team?  If so I'd think Allen will win it 2 weeks in a row.

Unless Burrow has an off the charts game there is no good reason for JA17 to not get AFC OPOW this week. His 3 rushing TDs alone were more than any other runner in the entire league and is 2nd in rushing yards.

Reid Ferguson the guy that got knocked on his A** and was the entire reason why they got the scoop and score had absolutely NOTHING to do with it then is EXACTLY what you are saying Right ? Or in your eyes i guess it would be - Well McD was the guy that keeps Ferguson on the team so yah it's McD's fault .

It also felt like Martin took an unusually long time to get the ball off.

But here’s the thing - Reid made a mistake on 1 play. McD and Babich refused to change defensive scheme for 3.5 quarters. That’s what drove me nuts. They were getting carved up for 3.5 quarters and they just stayed the course.

So it’s 1 mistake by Reid vs repeated mistakes by McD/Babich.

Okay I totally agree Babich got his a** handed to him the D was terrible & i get it, but even despite all that if they don't get the scoop and score whats the score at the end of the game if all things stay the same ??

The short comings in this game were the D & ST's Josh did his job, the offense did what they needed to do, the others didn't .

As they say it only take 1 or 2 plays to change the out come of the game & that was the ONE in this game .

Ferguson is 6' 2" and 235 lbs why is a lineman so light going against guys that out weigh him by probably 40 or 50 lbs - the Bills have LBers that weight more than him .
