CSBill Posted December 9 Posted December 9 (edited) 8 minutes ago, BillMafia716ix said: I stand by the 3 and 7 call. Accepting the penalty took the Rams out of field goal range. You get an incomplete pass the Rams are punting. On the sneak. I think Josh checked into the QB sneak not realizing they were further than they actually were. The ball was on the 1 and a half yard line. Not inside the 1. And don’t forget, the TOTAL CHOKE on the Line Judge not calling the movement on the Rams Right Tackle. 😱 Edited December 9 by CSBill 1 Quote

This is the biggest thing If you're a defensive guy and your offense gives you 42 and you lose, that may be a sign your defense sucks. 1 Quote

No. I never have any faith that McD’s side of the ball will come up with a big stop at the end of a game. 1 Quote

Buddy Hix Posted December 9 Posted December 9 McD is a great coach but not capable of coaching in crunch time. If a game is close in the playoffs, I have 100% confidence that McD will ***** up. 2 Quote
Don Otreply Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Imo, our Defense lost this game, because we can’t stop a decent teams run game, arrrgh!!! Oh well, on to Detroit, GO BILLS!!! Quote

Starters are going down to injury, is it worth it for seeding? Problem is McDermott just demonstrated he does not learn. Disturbing to see say the least. Very poor judgement when stressed. That use of a time out and qb sneak was the nail in the coffin. Almost as bad as fake punts at your 30 with damar Hamlin. Quote

Would have been 4th and 7 vs 4th and 5. Would they have kicked the FG with 7 yards needed instead of 5? Who knows., but the decision was wrong regardless. and somehow this next one is 10000x worse. 2. You can not, under any circumstance. call a TO after the QB sneak. Sneaking it is dumb, but if you are going to do it you tell the guys if they stop it you hurry up, spend 10 seconds getting back to the line, and run it again. The second Sean called TO the game was over. No they were not going to go for it on 4th and 10 from the 40. And if they do, ***** it. Let them he lost is the game with that stupidity. Then we inexcusably got a miracle second shot and this guy doubled down with an inexcusable TO. We had 2 chances to win a game we should have lost by 20. This coach is an idiot. We have enough sample size now. Win the Super Bowl this year or move on 1 1 Quote

london_bills Posted December 9 Posted December 9 He's a defensive coach, he just doesn't know what to do in these situations. If the season peters out, as good a coach as he is in other ways if Josh is unhappy then it might be the end ? Quote
DCofNC Posted December 9 Posted December 9 5 minutes ago, FireChans said: Correct. also, very low percentage, but why do we have two guys outside with the gunner on the final punt that we need to block to scoop and score? Not to mention the returner then not being aware he HAS to catch the ball. Quote
Justin C Posted December 9 Posted December 9 The anti McDermott people have been waiting for today for months. Quite sad the lives people live. 2 1 Quote

jkeerie Posted December 9 Posted December 9 By taking the penalty, the Bills take LA out of FG range and make it 3rd and 17. The problem was the defense giving up 12 yds on the next play, making it 4th down...then giving up the 5 yds. I don't fault McD. Our defense could not stop LA, and specifically Nakua all game. The Rams offensive starters made the plays when they needed to. For that matter, so did the Bills. It was that dang blocked punt for a TD that made the difference. 1 Quote
djp14150 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I would have declined the penalty and see what they did on 4 th and 7. They key was holding then to a FG or no score and having time left, if the D stopped them buffalo likely manages the clock to possibly win the game 1 Quote

I understand that % is very low and that defense was not making stops... BUT At least it would give the Bills a chance. Calling a timeout ended that chance Quote
