You have to admit, he has a history of screwing up the game management stuff at the end of close games.

 

Calling a timeout literally ended the game. How could he not know that?

Poor game management seems to be a common discussion with McD.

Bottom line is that once again with the game on the line, our coaching staff made wrong-headed decisions that cost us a chance to win the game, just like the Texans game.  I lay it at the feet of McDummy.  He needs to take control in those situations and tell Brady what to call and what NOT to call.  The QB sneak was death.

McD made a rookie mistake in year 8 of his career. That’s generous too, I don’t think even most rookies would have called timeout there. 
 

How long does he need to stop botching games like that? A decade? Two decades???

It would have take 20+ seconds to unpile that mess and the Rams would lolligag like crazy.  You can't call the sneak there.
