Mango Posted December 9 Posted December 9 “Listen, I’d go to war with a lot of these guys. But there are a lot of good players across the league who don’t want to come to Buffalo. We don’t have palm trees. We have taxes. California has taxes but they also have palm trees. And ultimately I think that was the difference maker today” - Kevyn Adams, probably Quote

The Rams were not called for false start on that 4th and 5...If that penalty was called, they are either kicking a very long FG or punting...Made a big difference as the Rams went on to score a TD. 1 Quote
Bills Bud Posted December 9 Posted December 9 (edited) Get Bill Belichick and his 24 year girlfriend on standby. If we go out in the 1st round then McDermott has to go. Edited December 9 by Bills Bud 2 Quote

Danger Mouse Posted December 9 Posted December 9 (edited) The McD call didn't lose us the game. Not stopping third downs - because they had elite superbowl winning talent playing at their best - lost us the game. It was a bit dumb to screw up at the end, yes, but the game was lost long before then. Did well to come back to 2 points but it was just too late. Can't keep starting games that slow. Did we get a three and out in that game? 1 maybe? And now we're all certain we'd have got another if the sneak weren't called? Nah. Not for me. The game was lost in 60 minutes of football. Fair play to the Rams. Edited December 9 by Danger Mouse 6 2 1 Quote

Just sad we are wasting Josh on McDermott. NO coach is 100% perfect all of the time. ALL coaches make questionable decisions. just stop. Maybe try and go all in and land Ron Rivera?? 1 1 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 We needed that 3rd timeout. We basically had no shot once we called that TO. I frankly would have kicked the FG once we got into range instead of going for the TD. We needed 9 points in some manner. Once we got that Allen long run I would have trotted Bass out there to kick and then booted it deep with my 3 TO's and hope that my defense could have gotten a stop and given Allen 50 seconds and no TO's to drive the field but I understand going for the TD first but the sneak was a killer not getting in. I am not going to crucify McDermott for the accepting the penalty. McVay was going to go for it whether it was 4th and 7 or 4th and 4 and the play that Atwell caught would have been a first down in either situation. Like I said just shake your head and move on and be glad this isn't the type of game that ends your season. 2 Quote

He probably said “ya messed up on the sneak” Absolutely saw that and it looked like Josh coaching him, at best. A lesser man would be cursing him out. Allen gets more nuclear and McD just can’t handle him. He’s a great coach but he just cannot match peak Josh Allen. Quote

While I agree that defense didn't do much today and McD made a mistake with accepting that penalty, I see two reasons why we lost: Stafford and Nacua all world performance to almost match Allen all world performance, which leads us to the crucial point - blocked punt. It was a great game and we would've won if not for that block. I’m going to give 5% to the blatant non call of holding on the last Puka TD 3 2 Quote

It would really suck if we weren’t 10-3 and enjoying our fifth straight division title Are we playing for division titles or super bowls its like some of you don’t get it… you get a Josh Allen once in a lifetime maybe, division titles don’t mean ***** to me. This kid needs a Super Bowl and this coaching staff isn’t good enough to deliver how many times do we have to see Sean bumble a close game 1 1 Quote

But I'd also say something that really pissed me off is how at the end of the game when the Bills were coming back the Refs suddenly decided they needed to be involved in the game. We benefitted from some bad calls earlier. 1 Quote
BuffBills51 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 The timeout is more important than 15 lost seconds there. Anybody that has ever coached at any level know that. Mind boggling Quote
