Cowherd's rant about the Bills wasting Josh Allen's talent was depressing.

Mahomes is 14-2 in games he puts up 400+ total yards, Allen is 4-5.

The Chiefs are 10-0 in one score games this year, with 15 straight wins in one score games. Meanwhile, the Bills are 5-6.

It's obvious the Chiefs aren't just "lucky," they've figured out how to win when it matters. The Bills still can't figure it out.

Neither have most other teams but the horseshoe Chiefs.

If the most epic fails in the Allen era are defensive blunders and your HC is a so called D genius…to the point they CHANGE THE OT rules. Seems like a clue that your Defensive HC is in over his head for a AFCC

So what offensive minded HC is going fix the defense?

Stop it and back away from the keyboard. You're  making too much sense.

I heard the rant today. pretty spot on really. The Bills offense best plays are Allen running like a maniac and throwing passes into 6 inch windows from 25-30 yards away.  The best plays for KC are converting 3rd and 7’s to maintain possession and not miss field goals.   and the last few years KC has a defense that can be trusted in playoff time especially.

I’ve spent today wishing that McDermott would have wet socks all day with no way to remove his shoes.

He seems like the guy who wears the Self-Wicking Alpaca Wool type socks.

It's sad to see Josh and how hard he takes the loss, takes responsibility, and takes it all on the chin. It's actually amazing the level of accountability there. I feel bad for him.

I have a feeling all the zeros at the end of his game checks make it easier to swallow

Ben Johnson with a former good DC who failed as a head coach - Robert Saleh, Matt Eberflus, Todd Bowles, something like that. That formula plus an elite QB created a dynasty for the Chiefs. Time is running out for our potential dynasty. I'm worried Josh Allen will be 33 before Pegula finally makes a change and we'll always wonder what could have been.

Serious questions, if McD and the team don’t reach the SB what do you do?

What do you do if they do and lose?

How long does he get if we are fortunate enough to see Josh and the gang hoist the Lombardi? 3 years? 5 years?

Potential dynasty ship has sailed unfortunately

The best we can hope for is being a reasonable foil for the Chiefs

If it were up to me Ben Johnson would already be our head coach. My fantasy coaching staff is him with Robert Saleh as the DC.

It's Super Bowl appearance or bust for me. McDermott has shown me nothing this year to make me think he is ever going to figure out his shockingly bad coaching in critical moments of close games and it's just impossible to win multiple consecutive playoff games with such a glaring weakness. At this point I think of it like the head coach version of Jameis Winston - you can tell he works hard and loves what he does but he is just missing a fundamental element that never develops no matter how many times he gets an opportunity. The highs are amazing but the lows are inevitable. At a certain point we have to accept who he is and move on.

That’s fair and very reasonable. Like the comparison too.

im a supporter of Sean but I’m gravitating toward that ideology. Can’t hang on to hope we’ll turn the corner if we’ve only been on the sidewalk (championship) once. Yet to be on the doorstep and ring the doorbell… it’s now or never to make it inside to the big dance.

Eventually just making the playoff and winning a weak division has to stop being the bar

For me, we are there now. SB or bust should be the expectation. It's not a cute or feel good story anymore to JUST make the playoffs.

To me this is the most damaging line of attack on the limitations of McD as head coach.  IMO the rest of this season and next season are a Super Bowl appearance or bust for McD.  If we continue to exit in the divisional round then there is no choice but to change the head coach.

For me it's a SB appearance either this season or next.  If they make it and lose I'm still all in on McD as my assumption would be that we would be going back multiple times over the coming years.  But if after this season and next season they don't make the SB and Allen now approaching 30 a change at the top is the only rational move to make.
