Einstein Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 (edited) So many bad coaching calls. Two to start. 1) A QB sneak when you can’t burn a timeout?!?!? Really Joe!? 2) Having a returner on that last punt? Put everyone on the line to rush and block! You aren’t gonna have enough time to return a punt. 3) Declining 4th and 7, thus taking more time off the clock!? Make it make sense!! There are so many more too. bills6969 Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Defense got their poop kicked in today. They pooped down their leg and the Rams players picked it up and shoved it right back up our ass. Not a Super Bowl caliber performance. 1 1 2 Quote
Bockeye Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 At least we have Kincaid and Coleman coming back…..oh, that’s right, they don’t play D. 🤣 2 Quote

Stads Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 I don't know what's worse: 4th down false start or Kupp hugging Ingram before Puka even catches the ball Horrible clock management by McDermott. That timeout was pretty bad 4 2 3 1 Quote
L Ron Burgundy Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Defense played a McD playoff special tonight. Exposed. We got time to fix it but maybe not the personnel. 1 Quote
ProcessImproverMan Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 (edited) Zero defense for McDermott. Good offenses like the Ravens and Rams killed his defense despite all the free agency money and first round picks and other draft capital spent on it. If we don't win a Super Bowl this year, Belichick needs to be brought in and McDermott punted. Same soft zone defense that simply doesn't get it done . Allen is going to be Rivers 2.0 at this rate Edited December 9, 2024 by ProcessImproverMan 4 1 2 Quote
ganesh Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Two bad decisions by McDermott cost us the game. Taking the holding penalty and then rushing at the 1 yard line. 1 1 1 Quote
Bangarang Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Accepting that penalty when your defense hasn't been able to make a stop all night was such a horrible decision. 3 1 Quote
schoolhouserock Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 This is exactly what will happen in the playoffs. 1 1 Quote
The Helmet of Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 (edited) Don’t want to be an alarmist. But after watching football for 40 years this is what I think. This defense is really BAD. There are so many ways to beat them! With speed. With size. With scheme. Can’t stop the run. Don’t even want to stop the run. You can’t get a finger on Stafford? He’s not a mobile guy. Stafford didn’t have a single bad play. Whenever you have a team go 90% on third down conversion it’s a sign that something is seriously wrong. I don’t mind the loss. I am concerned that this defense is simply not good. They won’t be able to stop Detroit, Philly, Baltimore… and LA apparently. For sure, they can beat anyone because Allen is a GOD. But he has to overcome a mediocre and oftentimes just plain bad defense. Where does McD’s D excel? The philosophy seems to be “ You can have the whole field. Do whatever you want. We’ll try to get a stop in the red zone.” That’s not a formula to win a championship. I give McD credit for creating a great team culture. But his D are not built to win championships and never have been. Edited December 9, 2024 by The Helmet of 3 1 1 4 Quote
PastaJoe Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 At least it was a fun game, not a low scoring snoozer. 1 Quote
notpolian Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 The offense is good enough to win it all. The defense is not. The head coach makes poor strategic decisions in high leverage situations. Its too bad, because Allen can do special things. 3 2 Quote
NewEra Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Just now, Chicken Boo said: That's not a bad loss, in my book. It’s. It a bad loss. Just a terrible coaching decision. The rams balled eff out. That blocked punt for a td after a missed opportunity in a wide open td- was just brutal 1 Quote
Casey D Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Wow, the team just played a game for the ages and just lost. And people here just s@@t the bed. 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Yeah the defense definitely was bad this game. But I'd also say something that really pissed me off is how at the end of the game when the Bills were coming back the Refs suddenly decided they needed to be involved in the game. 1 Quote
Ralonzo Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Of course the 1st down sneak and timeout were unforgivable, but accepting the holding penalty on 3rd down cost the Bills 30-40 seconds on the repeat of 3rd down. Butterfly effect of bad game decisions leading to worse game decisions. 1 1 Quote
Nephilim17 Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 The Bills coaches called a play that everyone here knew was wrong at the goal line at the end. Throw it 3 time and keep all 3 TOs and we have a chance. What a dumb, dumb, dumb call. They better not ever do that again. 1 Quote
