To some here, it’s like the Bills are 3-10.

Regular season wins are fun but we are all waiting for the inevitable in the playoffs with Mcdermott

Time for rational thought:

1.  They were going to go for it on 4 th regardless, so taking the penalty or not meant nothing.  Going with the 4 man rush and zone that hadn’t worked all day is a legitimate gripe.

2.  Despite Tommy yelling about the TO, what would the odds have been of holding a team we hadn’t stopped the entire freaking day from getting a first down?  Especially if McVay didn’t just have to run the clock down?  More or less than3%?  And yes they should have jumped right up and ran another quick play or spiked it after the failed sneak.

3.  The calls for McD to be canned are stupid childish reactions.  They are 10-3 with a supposed rebuilding team.

4.  They lost because we were  dominated by their O line, and because our zone did not match up against them.

1. Yes

2. It was a very basic mistake. Indefensible and obvious to anyone that has coached even at the high school level. 3 and out odds are far greater than on-side kick when you can bank on runs in 1st/2nd downs. Still unlikely to win but at least 15-20% chance if you have tos.

3. Absolutely. He is great overall specifically with culture. His late game management is just really bad.

4. 100%

BRING SOME PRESSUREEEEEE!!, any qb with 5-6seconds will pick a d apart...

its apparent this front 4 on it own will noT consistently get to the qb...PRESSUREEEE

But people still want to pay groot , I guess we can have two big contracts with Ed and groot. And still not help us win a championship.

I know Allen had monster stats today, but I certainly don’t think he played his best game of the year (I think Jacksonville was his best game). Look at Burrow, he consistently has gaudy stat lines without the wins.

Yes Josh had a great stat line, but early on during pivotal moments, he was not efficient and the offense had to punt the ball. We all know about the punt block. But based on how our defense was playing, those middle 8 minutes were essential to cash in on at least one of those possessions, if not two. And we didn’t get either.

Josh had a great second half, but the first was very average. Gotta start out faster in shootouts like these.

btw I’m not blaming josh exclusively. That mostly belongs to defense. But Josh isn’t blameless in this loss

Worst part of that game is that I do not think our coaches understood the situation at the end w/ that timeout.

I think they literally did not know that they gave up on everything but an onside kick there.  I think they didn't calculate.

If the 6-6 Rams did this to the D, wtf are the Lions going to do?

LAR had been 5-2 since their players became healthy.  Good team and Stafford was perfect.

No it's not. He's washed up like Poyer. Time to move on.

Nah he’s still good but probably only has a couple seasons left

Oh no we lost. What a shame.

It would really suck if we weren’t 10-3 and enjoying our fifth straight division title

Do you think JA17 shares your opinion?  I highly doubt that.   As a leader, he will not openly throw anyone under the bus, however,  he and many other veterans know that if a game comes down to the wire; McDummy will blow it 9/10 times.

That is just proven fact.

I'm shallow enough to want Josh to be recognized as the best player in the league. I want a championship more, but Josh winning MVP would still be great.

Sorry, I'm so shallow.

Im with you. i want his personal greatness to be recognized and immortalized.  I want him to leave his career in Buffalo with that hardware. That award is within Josh’s control.

Winning the SB is the ultimate but that is not all in Allen’s control unfortunately.  That takes a team and frankly a little luck.

I think McVay would not have been afraid to throw it at the end.  The destroyed our zone all day and any quick throw to Puka was almost guaranteed.

It's frustrating to watch them lose in the same ways that we have season or because of nagging fears that people have. Such as that the defense is a paper tiger and that McDermott does dumb things late in games.

He had time to return the punt though 🤣

Apparently @Einstein doesn’t know that the play isn’t whistled dead when the clock strikes zero…. They get to finish the play!

On the season Saquon Barkley has +19.7 EPA.

Josh Allen had +33.

In just today's game.

MVP and it's not close.

Unfortunately the award usually goes to the QB to the 1 seed.

It's crazy, but it's been true. Lamar last year is a prime example

I think it mostly tracks that the qb of the 1 seed team usually is the best player or is close enough that the wins swings the discussion towards them but that is not the case this year at all.

None of the sportsbooks are treating it that way at least.  I’d expect mahomes to fall even further behind even if he plays well tonight

He's a HoF player if he retires today.

This. While this game essentially means nothing outside of seeding, this is our fear come playoffs. Unless we just annihilate our opponents in the playoffs (unlikely) we have to rely on McDermotts end of game management and that is terrifying
