Fleezoid Posted December 9 Posted December 9 (edited) Everyone is critical of the defense. And rightfully so. But get ready for something like this in the playoffs. It's inevitable. Edited December 9 by Fleezoid 3 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Josh saying he should have done better. They didn't play to their standards and it starts with him. Dude shut up. You're a dog man. This team played like you Bills would have won. I get it take the blame. Good on you. Not your fault. 2 1 Quote

Another Fan Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Felt like a trap game..... I'm assuming the Rams were fighting for their playoff lives. If the Rams are held to a field goal there I'm confident Josh wins the game. Not the end of the world. Actually in the 2020 Rams/Bills game (covid year) I kind of recall the Bills got like a huge break with a pass INT call at the end of it. So maybe some karma Quote
Nihilarian Posted December 9 Posted December 9 To all the whiners out there...let's not forget that Matthew Stafford IS an SB-winning QB who IS a future HoFer! A guy who spent most of his career in obscurity while playing for a crappy Detroit team. If the Buffalo Bills are lacking in anything it's that defensive player that can put on the cape like Josh does for the offense. Von Miller was supposed to be that guy... and others should have stepped up...but didn't. That bend but don't break defense...broke! 1 Quote
sven233 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I just feel awful for Allen having to sit there and take questions in this pressed and still have to put the blame on himself for the loss after he just put up perhaps a career best game. Seriously, over 400 yards and the first player to have 3 rushing and 3 passing TDs in a game in NFL history. This dude holds countless NFL records like this and is being sabotaged by his average to below average head coach who is still making the same, if not worse, mistakes since his first year as head coach. It's like Allen is Superman and the only person that has any kryptonite is his own head coach. Just feel for the guy that he can't enjoy what he did in this game. It's astonishing that McDermott and this defense couldn't find a way to win this freaking game. 2 1 Quote

One of my biggest gripes with the McDermott defensive era is that we never seem to game plan for a team’s biggest weapons/ threats. We just line up and do our thing, sometimes adjust in small increments here or there, but we are often reticent to go in with a game plan of taking the biggest weapon away. Contrast that with Belichick’s mantra. Quote

Funny thing is, as far as the MVP goes, his chances had to have improved today, despite the L As dumb as this sounds, that's what bothers me the most. I should care more about wins, but I REALLY want Allen to win MVP. It's crazy that a QB as good as him still hasn't gotten it, and it makes getting nowhere in the playoffs even worse. But no turnovers & 6 TDs has to help, even in a loss. Problem is I can already see all the comments discrediting the tush push TDs, especially since Bills fans have been defensive over people claiming he's a "1 yard line merchant" (which is definitely not true). But McD needs to be directly asked at his presser about the running play with Josh which forced a timeout and all but lost the game AND why he didn’t decline that penalty and make it 4th and 8. Josh Allen - 425 total yards and 6 TDs - deserves better. ***** McClappy. Like most I'd assume McVey would go for the FG. Quote
zow2 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 We’ve literally lost the “Game of the Year” 5 straight years. Thanks Sean. How about rising to the occasion with your timeout usage and defensive play calls. 3 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Josh Allen first player in nfl history to throw for 3 and run for 3 and the bills lose. McDermott cost him a SB in 2021 with the 13 seconds, and now may have cost him an MVP as the mvp usually goes to the QB who has the 1 seed 1 Quote

thenorthremembers Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Similar to the NBA sometimes a team shoots 75% from 3 and are unbeatable. Stafford was fitting the ball in where there was no room. Nacua made some amazing catches. It happens. The Bills could really use a great pass rusher. That said, they are fine. Still have the best player in the NFL. 3 1 Quote
