Ya Digg? Posted December 9 Posted December 9 23 minutes ago, Richard Noggin said: The standard needed to be better today with the Rams offense absolutely executing at an elite level. Not saying the Bills offense wasn't super productive overall. I AM saying that the margin for error was miniscule, and they faltered JUST enough to fall short. (It ain't fair, no doubt.) Stats do NOT capture the complexities and nuances of a complete NFL game. Allen was monstrously productive today. Such an elite stat line. But he also missed some glaring plays that could have changed the outcome. Simple and cruel evaluation. It just seems very odd that you’re asking for even more out of Josh Allen Han how he played today. Sure he missed a couple of throws, but so does every QB. He literally had a historical game today and you’re saying it wasn’t good enough. It completely sure what you watched today-what happened in the game is not on Josh at all 4 Quote
5ths the charm Posted December 9 Posted December 9 18 minutes ago, Richard Noggin said: Can't spend premium picks on more than 1 or 2 of those defensive positions. Gotta replenish and restock on the offensive side as well. Give Allen more trustworthy protectors and targets, always. The offensive line must remain a strength (injuries haven't pressed the issue this season, but we're built to absorb o-line injuries and should remain that way if possible). And we need more receiving talent in the pipeline after Cooper leaves and Samuel gets closer to his FA year and Shakir reaches contract time. While I'm ok with Samuel walking, I would work to keep Cooper though. Quote
Bockeye Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Where we are at now, I’d love to see more Carter, Solomon, and Poyer for Hamlin. Maybe they can provide a spark and better play. Quote
Johnnycage46 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Espn shows Bills as 2.5 point underdogs next week. That seems crazy. Should be 7 points at least. 1 1 1 Quote

But also he was out of sync with his receivers far too often and missed too many throws to win. Fully willing to recognize what an absolute beast Allen is and was. Just needed him to hit like ONE more play (given the rest of the game's circumstances). 3 Quote

Maine-iac Posted December 9 Posted December 9 9 minutes ago, RiotAct said: because we’ve invested HEAVILY in the defense with draft picks over the last 7 years and have little to show for it against competent NFL offenses. Get Josh more weapons with the premium draft picks. You mean more than than the first pick in the last two drafts and 4 of the first 6 picks in the last 3 drafts? Moreover 2 out of the first 5 picks this year and 1 out of the first five last year were on defense. The idea we spend more on defense than offense especially lately is not true. 1 Quote

I love the asterisks that get applied to bills wins haha. Chiefs win doesn’t count because they almost lost a few games which I saw argued earlier, Seahawks win doesn’t count because of geno smith lol if we ended up pulling this out nobody would’ve considered the rams a good team despite playing great lions don’t have a lot of quality wins either by these standards Edited December 9 by Generic_Bills_Fan Quote

Maine-iac Posted December 9 Posted December 9 Our defense was awful but at the end of the day we lost more because of our own mistakes. The Rams hung 44 points on us and it still isn't a reach to say that we could have won this game if we had not made a couple of mistakes. Quote

Georgia Bill Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I wonder how many times in the NFL a team scores 42 points in regulation and never has a lead in the game? It's a shame... Quote

Enough said Sean was bad, no doubt, but when your defense has 1 stop all game and gives up 2 consecutive long drives for TDs after cutting the lead to 3, how can you pin it all on him?Did Babich make the necessary adjustments? Did our Special Teams coach prepare our punt unit to close down rushing lanes so we don’t have a block for a TD? How do you allow one of the worst 3rd down teams to be almost perfect on 3rd down? Is Sean responsible for all the PIs? That’s enough said. 2 Quote

He may get a combined 200 receiving/rushing. Just an an awful player profile for this specific defense because of personnel issues Quote
