Less than a yard from the LOS.  Pick plays are called when they are 3 plus yards downfield.

Someone else probably said it, but shouldn't we have declined the penalty, which would have made it 4th and 7?

  I suspect they would have tried the field goal.  Instead we take the penalty, creates a 3rd and 17, they get 12 yards to make it 4th and 5 and they go for it.  I think that decision likely cost us the game.
