johndhall1 Posted December 8 Posted December 8 No one from the bills staff has ruled out Kincaid. This is just Rappaport speculation.

Kincaid goes down and we have a second tight end that still very good. What Knox misses in every down pass catcher he makes up for in big plays and raw physicality. Knox usually makes one huge catch a game or trucks someone into ground. Reggie Gilliam is no slouch, either. He's had some big catches for the Bills. Nice to have depth! 1

I would imagine A Bills PR person or an agent told him. I got the vibe from mcdermott that kincaid and coleman were a week away when he talked friday.

He has a future in this organization. Morris was banged up this week too so there are definitely some moving parts this week. 2
nosejob Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Is Spencer Brown playing? ...guess I coulda looked it up, but I worry about him shaking the dust off. I'd feel more comfortable with VanD.

Morris has proved time and again that he is a reliable target that can eb counted on to make plays.

He’s more multiple on run and pass downs and seems to give some flexibility there . Not that I don’t like what Kincaid can do but he’s more of an additional WR than a guy we can pound the ball with. It’s weird how certain groupings just perform better or provide better consistency even if they don’t have who you might think are the best players, but that’s football. My worry is that the Bills don't know what to do with Kincaid. Knox is a less dynamic passing threat but he's the better blocker and so far we have not seen the drops that have been a problem in the past. For what the Bills are doing *right now* he might be the better option and it's certainly a lot closer than we saw last year

RunTheBall Posted December 8 Posted December 8 I’m not too concerned with keeping Kincaid out. I’d keep him out against the Lions too with that horrific turf. Come to think of it, win this game then play all second and third stringers next week against the Lions considering how many season ending injuries we’ve had to key players in that dump.
Steptide Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Imo Knox is more clutch, at this point anyway. Hope Coleman can go though.

Considering all the IR’d players on their own roster you’d think that Detroit would consider different turf. 1

You didn't have to hit submit replay after typing this. Now you're stuck defending it. Lol. Can't wait to lose to both. 1

Im sorry, but Im being realistic here. Those are two teams we are gonna have tons of trouble getting past. Id love to get proven wrong. Lets see what Bills vs an injured Lions team looks like next week as well and we can see how realistic the SB looks. Ravens played their heart out the first 4-5 weeks. After losing to the chiefs they went on a run. The rematch would not at all be the same. Even if we played the next day. Back to health and the ravens struggling we are just fine. Going into the post season with 3 simple games is going to be favorable. The only disadvantage is we won't be playing our sharpest football. The biggest advantage is playoff Josh.

By this logic, just sit him the rest of the entire year including playoffs. Dont want a player catching crucial passes for the first time in 2 months in the playoffs. Especially a player who has already dropped his fair share. If he wants to go in the playoffs, he needs more regular season practice.
