MDH Posted December 8 Posted December 8 I love the fans who proclaim the Bills as incapable of winning the AFC and if they lose in the playoffs they’ll point to the results as proof. Well - no *****- taking the field over any single team is the right call and you’ll be correct the majority of the time. That’s true for any single team (yes, even the Chiefs.) It doesn’t mean they didn’t have a chance to begin with, it means that their chances hover around 25-30% to get to the SB - which is roughly what most contending teams have.

But if you showed up talking this nonsenses at the tailgate you’re getting stuffed in a blue plastic outhouse. You know, for all the Bills games Ive been too, Im normally fairly confident on game day. I think its the energy of the Stadium. Etc 1

All in the pursuit of being "realistic," I suppose. 🙄 Exactly, no balance to the argument. While Lamar has beaten no one in the playoffs. You can’t then argue Bills can’t beat KC. Just say Bills can’t beat KC.
Mikie2times Posted December 8 Posted December 8 (edited) I like what Knox has been doing to be honest. He’s more multiple on run and pass downs and seems to give some flexibility there . Not that I don’t like what Kincaid can do but he’s more of an additional WR than a guy we can pound the ball with. It’s weird how certain groupings just perform better or provide better consistency even if they don’t have who you might think are the best players, but that’s football. It would mean BOTH KC and The Ravens would have to get knocked out inorder to give us a good chance. Yes. Im normally wrong, so If I say stuff like "the Bills will beat the Rams today" the Rams will win. BUT if I say the Bills are 100% losing and 100% will not make the playoffs...well you get the rest. Also you guys get your fun in talking smack. Its really a win-win for everyone involved haha. The reality is that it’s 50/50 that Henry is even still playing once the playoffs begin. 1 1

Sports discourse rivals political discourse in its near-universal displays of logical fallacies, motivated reasoning, and bias of every kind, particularly confirmation and recency bias. I suppose that's what makes it fun, but it's maddening at times. Accurate, informed, dispassionate analysis is vanishingly rare, while thoughtless, self-indulgent, triggered tripe is the norm, most prominently among media types. Can't say I'm innocent. Nothing I like better than a cathartic TBD rant! Edited December 8 by finn 1 1

Bills!Win! Posted December 8 Posted December 8 I applaud the Bills for holding these players out. A healthy team is more important than #1 seed 2

It's the easiest and laziest position in a discussion. Take the negative side—if it happens, you get to be proven right, if it doesn't, you get to be happy about it. 3
Billsatlastin2018 Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Totally, the correct move. And if Coleman isn’t near perfect, rest him too for the Lions! 1

The Bills need better rush D and a WR I've said my piece about the Ravens game in another thread. The fact is, the next time these 2 teams meet, it will feel closer to the first time than the second time. No Bernard, Benford, Johnson in that game on defense. Heck, you could even throw in Jordan Phillips and Quinton Jefferson into that mix as well as they have proven to be contributors to this defense since they showed back up here. And, of course, that doesn't even take into account Cooper on offense as he wasn't here yet either and Shakir was basically playing on 1 leg in that game. Add in the fact that Coleman and some of the other young guys will have more experience in the next matchup and things will look totally different. Look, I am not saying we would win, but the fact is, that is probably the worst game we have played collectively as a team this season and we still had a chance to win that game right up until the time we decided to bust out one of the worst designed trick plays in history. I am really not sure how much in the end you can pull out of that game and apply to the next meeting. The only thing you can say is that they absolutely steamrolled us in the run game and while that is still a concern for sure, I think if anything, the guys on this defense will take that personally and do everything they can to make sure it doesn't happen again. That game may serve as more fuel than anything else. As for the Chiefs, you will never convince me that they have a better team than we do. However, until this coaching staff doesn't choke things away in the biggest moments, and we play like we have the better team and beat them in the Playoffs, I am not ready to say a thing about them. But that game is more on us and our mental state playing that game than anything else. Just don't beat ourselves for once. Oh, and the next time we actually play them with all of our key players healthy in the Playoffs would be the first time. Let's play that game at full health without having to pull LBs off the couch the week before and having our best corner out and out other one playing on one leg and let's see what happens. 1

People complain about his contract, and I get it, but he's certainly a nice luxury to have. Kincaid goes down and we have a second tight end that still very good. What Knox misses in every down pass catcher he makes up for in big plays and raw physicality. Knox usually makes one huge catch a game or trucks someone into ground.
