He has cancer and had a biliary stent placed earlier this month.

Three most likely possibilities:

Metastatic colon cancer

Pancreatic cancer

Primary hepatic cancer

Sadly none of these are very good.  Hepatic probably has the best prognosis and seems to respond to some of the new immunotherapies.

So sad. Too young!!

Ugh... EXACTLY the same thing my Mom had and she had the same procedure done as well.

Wish him the best but the outcome looks grim. 😐

Just saw this quote from him and it home. An unfortunate reminder of our fragility.

"I didn't think I would ever be in a position like this, as healthy as I thought I was," Moss said.

Bile duct cancer... Not good. At all.

My Uncle Al had bile duct cancer. He declined rapidly and passed within months as his case was incurable. This hit me in the heart.

Get better Randy! 🙏

My dad got diagnosed at basically the same exact age with I think the same cancer what I think would have been him being diagnosed 20 years ago this past August. Felt fine until he got jaundiced and felt really tired...he got tested and for a second they thought it was just a clogged bile duct, but then they did the actual conclusive test and it very much wasn't.

He got chemo and was in a clinical trial for some immuno therapy...didn't get the surgery (it wouldn't have helped)...they had given him months, but with the immunotherapy he made it over a year and half...but yeah, basically same age of diagnosis and bile duct cancer as well.

Bigger reason I'm sharing is that immunotherapy has come incredibly far since then...I often think of what would have happened if it was now instead of then...also think a lot about the fact I'm 40 now, and in seven years I'll be the same age when he got diagnosed

It really is. It took my Dad in 9 months. He was otherwise extremely healthy.

Whipple for cholangiocarcinoma not with a good 5 year survival, but then gain any cancer requiring a Whipple has a low survival rate.

The good news is that at operation, they found it resectable.

Cancer sucks.   Prayers to Randy, always hope for the best.  Quick PSA here,  if something doesn’t seem right, get it checked out immediately.  Don’t wait to see if it goes away.  Early detection saves lives!
