Doc Brown Posted December 6 Posted December 6 4 minutes ago, Brand J said: If your QB is a great one and your OL gives him time, he can make any WR productive. When I say that RBs should be paid more, never mind the fact they touch the ball 2-3x as much as your #1 receiver, but is Saquon Barkley’s value to an offense at $13M/yr that much less than Justin Jefferson’s value at $35M/yr? We already have that answer as Barkley is currently 2nd among MVP odds. He deserves to be paid more given what he brings to an offense. The market will speak on that if you're right. 1 Quote
Negan Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Shouldn't have blitzed there GB. You knew they were most likely passing, better to sit back slightly there. Quote

Also, the Packers have been a second-half team all year. Should we nickname them the Cowardly Lions. 1 1 Quote

The best case scenario is they get a TD and it's "even". So they objectively didn't benefit from the decision Edited December 6 by BillsFan130 Quote
Low Positive Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I keep coming back to this game, where they went up 21-10 at the half and needed a last-second FG to win. https://www.nfl.com/games/lions-at-vikings-2024-reg-7?active-tab=watch Quote

They tend to keep their starters in late into the 4th quarter and are still dropping back to pass with Goff on deep overs even when up by 20. I’ve had the exact opposite experience as you: I wonder why they’re trying to impress the selection committee instead of protecting their starters. Quote

Look at the game against the Vikings that I posted just above. They couldn't put them away. Quote

stuvian Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Matt Lafleur looks more like a hairdresser than a football coach. There I said it Quote

I understand there are other factors in the game as that's not my point. They decided to defer, Detroit got a TD. And Detroit ended the half with a TD. The decision to defer did not work for them this time around objectively I am really not too sure what you're debating here Quote

Probably could have been worse if GB got the ball first and went 3 and out. That could be Detroit going up 24-7 on the first drive of the 2nd half. Quote

Respectfully I'm Not too sure what you're disputing but all good. Enjoy the game sir 1 Quote

It's more the Packers in general. They are the aww shucks version of the Cowboys. Everything they do it's "Love is MVP!" But unlike Dallas you're supposed to love them because they play in the middle of nowhere and Lombardi coached there and it's cold and frozen. Lefleur is a mediocrity who wasted Rodgers career. People get on McDermott for not winning it all with Allen. Lefleur's teams laid an egg every year in the playoffs. They had 2 HOF QBs back to back and mismanaged both at the end instead of trying to win. They had HOF QB play for almost 40 years and won 2 rings. That's pathetic. Plus Lefleur is an arrogant punk. That's about it 1 Quote
