DapperCam Posted December 6 Posted December 6 (edited) Detroit looked beatable. GB had a TD drive with 9 runs and 2 passes. The Lions were vulnerable to runs up the middle. GB blitzed quite a bit, but didn’t get there. Bills don’t like to blitz, so we won’t make that same mistake. Edited December 6 by DapperCam 1 Quote

Not sure how many guys they are getting back next week, if any. I know anzalone, hutch are out for sure, but no clue about the others Quote

Get the 1st down there and unless you miss a chip shot the game is over, whereas if you kick with 30 odd seconds left Love at least has chance to get in FG range. I don't know, a TV talking head said by analytics...going for the 4th down conversion over a FG for the lead gave Detroit a Lesser chance to win. But watching it, you knew Campbell was going for the sure thing, walk off FG. Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 6 Posted December 6 This post game speech by Dan Campbell is epic. He’s like Hulk Hogan. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/dan-campbell-tells-dan-skipper-140128018.html Quote

If Goff slips a bit more and they don't convert -- there isn't a single poster in this thread saying it was the right move. There would be a dozen pages roasting Campbell. Time to promote Ben Johnson! Absolute clown takes lol If it was a full yard, you might be right. But it wasn't. If the Bills find themselves in that situation, I hope they go for it to bleed that clock out. And I'll support the call regardless of the result. Quote
VaMilBill Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I don’t know about you all. But I find the Lions more and more unlikeable. They seem very cocky and almost dirty. Like a team full of Julian Edelmans. Now I don’t follow the Lions closely so maybe I’m off base, but that’s my impression as a casual NFL fan and diehard Bills fan Quote

Since1981 Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Don’t confuse gutsy and dumb. McD 4th 1 was gutsy (down 3). Dan missed SB visit tie on a 4 and 12. Just because last night barely worked, doesn’t make it smart. McD needs to take this reckless behavior into account and scheme for it. 1 Quote

Our record of stopping rushing 4th downs in recent years is very good indeed. Quote

I mean, it's true that Buffalo has one of the lowest blitz % in the league, but so does Green Bay They were missing their best CB, so perhaps playing Man wasn't the best strategy IDK Pretty sure McDermott and Babich have a couple of assistants in a back room studying the Houston game, where Goff threw 5 picks Edited December 6 by Beck Water Quote
gonzo1105 Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I just want to toot my horn a little bit here as two years ago when that vaunted TE class was out there and the Bills took Kincaid(rightfully so), and people were boosting LaPorta his rookie season that during the draft process I continously had Tucker Kraft as my # 2 TE in the draft out of South Dakota State. This year Kraft has 39 catches for 521 yards and 7 TD's, while people who love LaPorta around here has 36 catches for 445 yards and 5 TD's this year and Kraft still doesn't get talked about at all as one of the top young TE's in the league. Not only is he a great pass catcher but he is a really good run blocker and deserves a little more credit in circles. 2 Quote
GolfandBills Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Buffalo needs to establish the run early against Detroit to have a chance. Their offense will be a challenge for us as well as they run the ball well and have a really good screens game which both give us trouble. Quote
