If I converted like four straight 4th downs, I would feel like I'm due to miss one. Going for it inside your own 30 up by three was pretty reckless.

Not the best play call on 4th and a long 1

Apparently the call was a sneak, but Goff didn't like the gaps so he killed it and went to the second called play which was the sweep.

I love how Campbell just goes for it.  If you do it every time, you'll get most of them if you're a good O - on balance, it's better for your chances.

where does the madness end though? Does he go for it on his own 10 yard line?  He’s up by 3, and GB is in scoring position with a stop. Just bonkers!!

Sure. But Ben Johnson called a dumb play. Sneak it or a quick throw. A toss play relies too much on blocking.

It’s like Dan Campbell is a regular Lions fan in the stands calling those plays. “Go for it!!”

The hyper elevated levels of testosterone running through his veins tells him that the aggressive call is always the right call. It will catch up to him eventually. Law of averages.

100 years of punting on fourth down deep in your own territory is precedent for a reason. But he thinks he’s going to reinvent the wheel.

No, he got paid like a top-tier talent. He makes $55 million a year.

yea right behind Trevor Lawrence and directly ahead of tua and Goff

like I said, no one’s putting him with the josh-mahomes-burrow-Lamar crowd

he’s a top 5-10 guy on his good days, and 10-15 when not on his game.

and he’s paid as an unchallenged starter with some untapped upside
