MrEpsYtown Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Wait so he's not too old etc etc etc? All that stuff from the other thread... Β He's a coach. He wants to coach. I am a coach and I can say from experience when you don't coach, while your life is 100 times easier, you feel like there is a hole in your soul and something is missing.Β Quote

T master Posted December 6 Posted December 6 No disrespect to NC but i'd say that would be a step backwards & would do nothing for him as far as his wanting the win total for the NFL so i'm thinking he won't be a college coach anytime soon . I can see him in Jerry world just because of Jerry but seeing as he didn't learn a thing with Jimmy it may not be a good match . Quote

djp14150 Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I thinkβ¦. Β Bellicheat does not want to coach another NFL team because it could damage his reputation of a brady- less coach Β in college he probably doesnβt want to handle some of the stuff with recruiting so he probably requires a recruiting lead or GM who handles the recruitingΒ Β Β Quote

Why would Bill want to coach in college. I bet itd work and is actually the best place and chance for him to succeed.Β How many college disciplinary coaches have we seen flame out hard in the nfl. hard to do that crap to grown men with bigger egos and millions in the bank, and they run right back to college. TheFunPolice Posted December 6 Posted December 6 (edited) Hey, Paterno coached until he was 85 so Belichick could have a decade of coaching still in him. Β It's hard to imagine him coaching in college, but then again he would have total control, be a legend on campus, and the college environment is a lot of fun.Β Β He would also be able to be the grumpy taskmaster type with younger players more so than with NFL players.Β Edited December 6 by TheFunPolice Quote

dpberr Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I think he will stay in broadcasting. Β I don't think any NFL team or Division 1 school is likely to hire a soon-to-be 73-year-old coach. NFL teams and colleges invest heavily in infrastructure around a head coach, with the expectation that it will remain in place for several years. At 73, concerns about health and the inevitable effects of aging arise.Β Β Β Why do I bring this up? I believe that if Wade Phillips were younger, he would have been an NFL head coach in recent yearsβespecially considering the success he had with the Rams' SB defense. After that, you know what he did? He became the head coach of a UFL team, where he performed quite well, and that was it. Quote
RobbRiddick Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I'd rather he stayed in the media. I like listening to him, knows what he's talking about and doesn't shout Quote
