JFKjr Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Kinda surprised no thread on this, given that it doesn't seem to be a random act of violence, but rather a targeted kill. 1
yall Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 In no particular order of likelihood: 1. Spouse paid to have whacked. 2. Disgruntled employee. 3. Vendetta related to issue with healthcare (either personal or due to a parent, child, etc).

I'm going with 3 I see he wrote on the bullets https://nypost.com/2024/12/05/us-news/unitedhealthcare-ceo-brian-thompsons-assassin-may-have-left-message-on-bullets-used-in-murder-sources/ 1 1 4
Wacka Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) I've heard people say it was a professional hit because of the shooter's calm demeanor. Also heard conflicting reports that he collected the casings in his hand and none were left behind vs that there was stuff written on casings found at the scene. Edited December 5, 2024 by Wacka 2

LeviF Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 It’s a pro job. Makes 3 the least likely scenario. With some insider trading rumors floating around that could add another scenario. 1

I got my money on it being something like a child died and his company had previously refused to pay for some treatment. 2

Orlando Buffalo Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 I am actually surprised at how many liberals are on Twitter praising the murder. Liberals were thrilled to ensure that every single American had to deal with these guys. It is almost like no one hates liberal ideas in action as much as liberals. 1

Sounds like you agree with the far left and DSA types who wanted a single payer program that would have left these guys without a job. 2
JFKjr Posted December 6, 2024 Author Posted December 6, 2024 Amount of the "reward" their offering for info on the shooter is only $10K? That's less than many people pay for annual health insurance premiums.

They whole country is united in aggressively not caring that this dude was murdered. Hell, the Nurse and Dr subreddits had to shut down comments on this event. They were full of jokes in the theme of how three 9mm slugs to the back is a pre-existing condition. 2

So I said I wanted less of government in my healthcare and your response was how about total government control? Even for you that was pathetic. 1

This guy's death has ignited the conversation on whether the "systemic deaths" brought about by the health care system/insurance companies (denied coverage/treatments and bankrupting families while CEOs seem to roll around in unimaginable wealth) are less meaningful than the CEO's. So people are asking why is THIS guy's death so important that it gets massive media coverage and a huge police response, while the average person dies quietly because their treatment would be 'out of network' or 'not covered' etc. Edited December 6, 2024 by JFKjr 1
