Logic Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I think this is a pretty jaw-dropping statistic. I'd love to know who people think would walk through the door and be an upgrade over this... 12 1 17 1 Quote

Usually it is something like “an offensive minded coach” or some garbage non-answer like that. 4 1 Quote

Is it a coincidence that every coach on that list, outside of Landry a million years ago, had either the best or second best QB in the NFL? 4 Quote

No a good coach doesn't get you 11 wins, it's more like Mike Tomlin always having winning seasons. But you link a good coach with a great QB that's how you get multiple years of dominance. Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I expressed my thoughts in the other McDermott thread. But this is a really amazing feat for sure, especially considering how things were going last year. I hope he can take us to the promised land. My answer to your question is Bill Belichick. That's it IMO. That's the only guy who is available and would walk in and we would win a Super Bowl. I hate him as much as everyone else, it's making a deal with the devil. But that's the only other answer aside from staying the course. 1 2 Quote
zow2 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Kind of wild when you think about it that Reid and Dungy were fired from fairly successful coaching stints in their primes. 1 Quote

Belichick is living his best life right now with his 20 year old girlfriend and joking around with the Manning brothers or being goofy on some football podcast. Why in the world would he want to coach again? Quote

Why in the world would he want to coach again? He isn't far behind Shula for the all-time wins as HC. Maybe he wants to prove he can win a Super Bowl without Brady. Those are the only reasons I can think of. He doesn't need the money as he is already financially set for life. Edited 8 hours ago by Gregg 1 Quote

Allen is a HOF talent but there is just something about Brady that I think even Rich Kotite would have got a few Super Bowls with. I think Belichick would get to the playoffs but I think he is an otherwise overrated coach. Brady would have put Arians in the HOF to if he would have got more time with him 1 Quote
agilen Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Not to be a hater or anything (I’m in the camp that says any replacement will be worse), but his 11th win last year came in week 18. The rest of those guys did it with a 16-game season (or less). 2 1 1 Quote

After watching how he destroyed the Patriots in his final years and inability to adapt to the new style of football I don't want him anywhere near Josh Allen 2 Quote

I guess the legacy angle makes sense, but that certainly wouldn't be my decision in his shoes. 1 Quote

Same thought when I see Josh at or surpassing all these other famous QB historical and playoff stats. He's like the only one without even a SB appearance. It's so frustrating. 2 1 Quote

McD's streak has come with the 17 game regular season, and 2 of the 11+ win seasons he's reached the 11th win in the extra game (2021 and 2023) Edited 7 hours ago by DabillsDaBillsDaBills grammar 2 1 1 1 Quote
njbuff Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Tom Landry was so good. There might have been no one better in the history of the league who turned late round drafts and UDFA’s into quality NFL players. 2 Quote
peterpan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago It’s easier to get 11 wins with 17 games!!!! I’m just kidding but, that is actually true 1 Quote
