Dr.Sack Posted December 5 Posted December 5 The streak will continue. 8 passing, 4 rushing, 2 receiving. 1 Quote
Scott7975 Posted December 5 Posted December 5 I voted yes, but the reality is probably not. He could be sitting in a few games. If he does get them it probably means two things... 1. we had a shot at the 1 seed through the end of the season. 2. The games were probably high scoring and close. 1 Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted December 5 Posted December 5 Yes he'll hit 40. Last year Lamar won the mvp with 29 total tds. Josh already has 27. And no I'm not concerned about @Malazan's concern about our concern. It's all very disconcerting... Quote

The more TD's he scores the higher our likelihood of winning out and possibly getting the #1 seed. So, yes. It matters in that context. Quote
dollars 2 donuts Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Man...If they are all through the air (They won't be) it gets him to 200 passing TDs for his career. I am not being greedy, but it is honestly possible, in controlled conditions for the next two weeks, he gets 8. 5 passing, 3 Rushing. 1 Quote

Pick sixes, punt runback TDs and TDs off blocked kicks work just as well too. Same amount of points for all of 'em. Also TDs you prevent the opponent from scoring. it's logical to assume the guy who accumulates TDs at a best-in-the-league rate over the last 5 years is also the one most likely to continue doing so hence the premise for the OP try not to let it get to you Quote

The two seed would secure having the first two playoff games at home (with winning of course). Much better to get someone like Pitt or Houston at home. So to me, if the #1 or #2 are affected, Josh will be in there. And he will be getting enough TDs to keep his streak going. 2 Quote

Someone else missing the point doesn't bother me. Not a bit, I kind of expect it. But if you're really worried about it, why don't you try not missing the point? He wondered why anyone would care specifically about Josh's TDs. Your went glib and replied that there tends to be a relationship between TDs and wins. Since Malazan was referring not to TDs generally but to Josh's TDs specifically, this was a pretty stupid reply. I pointed out that yeah there's a relationship between TDs and wins, but that who gets those TDs doesn't matter the slightest bit to wins. Which was Malazan's point as well. Now you're pretending to answer me by going straw man. You're lecturing me about whether and why Josh might or might not continue scoring TDs. Completely beside my point and nothing I said anything about. If you want to talk about something I don't care about, hey, it's a free country, go for it. But don't reply to me when you do so. Quote

Look at last week as an example. Allen threw it only 17 times completed 13 for 148 yards and the Bills still scored 35 points. As long as the Bills are winning that is all that matters. It doesn't matter if Allen gets 40 TD's or not. Yeah but Allen scored 3 TDs in that game... Quote
BigDingus Posted December 7 Posted December 7 Unfortunately, I think this is where the streak ends. Hopefully that's because he's resting 4th quarters & not needed as much. 12 hours ago, dollars 2 donuts said: Indeed, Taro. I know what's important...I know, I know, I know, I know, OK. Not sure why that is, but they usually come up short rather than being overthrown. So if he's slinging it, better be short to intermediate routes. Or we can hope for a lot of YAC on some dump passes 😆 1 Quote
