QB Bills Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago 1 hour ago, boyst said: ridiculous. he will rightfully appeal and the nflpa will get it reduced. you can't hit a QB anymore. if he was still running it would have been a rightful hit. lawrence waited until the last minute to slide and therefore the helmet to helmet was unavoidable, unfortunately. it was a bad hit, and it was a penalty but it is not that bad of a penalty to suspend him 3 games. some foo foo pansy ball crap right there. 1 1 2 Quote

Logic Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) Good. The NFL said that part of the reasoning for the length of his suspension is his history of dirty play. Here's a compilation of some his dirty plays from the past. He's a dirty player, and his "apology letter" showed a complete lack of contrition and ownership of the fact that he did anything wrong. His suspension was justified. Edited 15 hours ago by Logic 1 Quote

QB Bills Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Guys like this don't belong in the league. You lose nothing by banning him but potentially a lot by letting him stick around and continue this nonsense. 1 Quote

leonbus23 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) Cue the old timers who like the old school violence. Tough guys who also don't want a dome because they're so darn tough. Man, those tough guys. We should all admire their toughness. "I remember when men were men and had the freedom to violently hurt each other. The good ole days." Edited 15 hours ago by leonbus23 Quote

Stay in control and dont hit a sliding QB... I can say this... if someone hit JA17 like this... we would be calling for an immediate execution of the person and anyone they knew LOL... no place for that crap in this game. dude might not make it out of the stadium Quote

So you’re just going to forget about the other times he was a scumbag? Or the fact that after this happens he pulled another guy down by his face mask? Or when he was ejected he took his helmet off and started more issues? got it. What a bunch of “foo foo pansy crap” we should def keep him in the game. Maybe… JUST MAYBE read the reasons why he was suspended first bubba. Edited 14 hours ago by warrior9 Quote

If he wasn't playing football he'd be in the slammer Good context. I didn't realize that. Just looking at this hit alone, it was "bad", but you could make the case that it was a split second decision, the quarterback is still running, etc. Quote

Logic Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) I think two things are simultaneously true: 1. Al-Shaiir has a history of making dirty plays, and was justifiably suspended because of his latest one. 2. All the extracurricular talk about him being a "thug", needing to be behind bars, or any discussion whatsoever of his last name, his race, Hamas, etc, is out of hand, unnecessary, and -- in many cases -- reeks of thinly veiled xenophobia. The guy makes dirty and sometimes dangerous football plays. That's it. No need to make it about anything other than that. Edited 14 hours ago by Logic 1 1 Quote
