boyst Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I don't see the worry and fear others do when theyre concerned about other teams running on us. Running on us is fine and controlling the clock is fine. Running should not beat us and get past our offensive ability. Baltimore was an anomaly. If they didn't score on the first play the entire game script is different. Our coaching staff couldn't recover from that. Baltimore is a good team and they took advantage of their fortune on that play. 1 1 Quote

I think that is an added dimension which would drive defensive coordinators crazier than they are, trying to stop us. All of our running backs are excellent receivers. Go Bills!! I totally agree. Ray Davis is an underrated pass catcher. He had 7 receiving touchdowns as a senior! Between Davis, Cook, and Johnson, passes to the running backs should be an even bigger part of our offense. And not just on flares and checkdown curls, but actual routes at times. 1 1 Quote

Seems like Coleman and Kincaid might be a week away. Didn't sound like smoot is coming back anytime soon. Agree on Carter and Smoot. I didn't get that impression with Kincaid. The fact that he was already in a regular (full-contact) jersey yesterday is a good sign. Coleman is more a question mark but he didn't give much indication either way of playing vs. not playing. What's really good is none of them were already ruled out today. Edited December 6 by bills742 2 Quote

Baltimore is a good team and they took advantage of their fortune on that play. After watching the game the drive after that wasn’t too bad. The following drive was where the game got away from us. Baltimore marched down the field and put themselves up 11. The following drive we had a 3rd & 1, incomplete pass then punted. They scored another TD on their next drive to make it 21-3, game looked to be completely forced from there on out. The fumble on the botched trick play during the 3rd sealed the game. Coupled with a missed FG the following drive and the game was over. Definitley a closer game than the scoreboard suggested, an anomaly indeed. Quote

Everyone practicing in some capacity today. Smoot is on a similar timeline to Spector, at the facility everyday and rehabbing. The regular season runs through January 5th, so that should give enough runway for those guys to get back. Quote

Yes and to me since coleman was in a red jersey I am assuming he is out again. Probably more hopeful on Kincaid. Quote
PoundingDog Posted December 6 Posted December 6 If Carter is off IR to play this week, who goes? 1T DT: DaQuan Jones, Austin Johnson 3T DT: Ed Oliver, Jordan Phillips. Quinton Jefferson played both DT and DE. Carter is a direct Joran Phillips replacement. But somehow I get the feeling Phillips may stay; not flash but better than I expected. Quote

Yeah, whatever the normal timeline is for a wrist fracture. I thought the standard for a broken bone was 6-weeks. Taron seemed to come back a little faster than that. Quote

I think Kincaid’s being a knee they will be even more conservative, and balance the risk of reinjury vs coming back fully healthy. I see them both out this week and possibly returning vs Det. Quote

If Coleman is active this week, I believe Carter will take Jalen Virgil's roster spot (and Jordan Phillips will be inactive on game days). If Coleman is not active this week, I believe Carter will take Jordan Phillips' roster spot, but Phillips may be re-signed the practice squad. He seems like a guy they'd want to keep around for emergency depth and locker room reasons. Edited December 6 by Logic Quote

Logic Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I don't think Coleman or Rapp will play this week. I'm fine with letting Coleman sit another week. Let him be full strength for the stretch run and playoffs. As for Rapp, it'll be interesting to see how the Bills handle things if he doesn't play. Does Cam Lewis simply start for him? And if so, when they go into dime, does Ja'Marcus Ingram play the dime 'backer role, or do they elevate Lewis Cine (who has been practicing with both the safeties and linebackers) for a game? Quote
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted December 6 Posted December 6 (edited) poyer damn near took the kid out for the season. fortunately he is young and still learning from the vets in the film room and on the practice field. may not be ready for the lions match up but likely back for the last 3 division games before preparing for the playoffs. Looks like we’re going to get our 2nd look at Bishop to see how much he’s improved since his first outing. Also wonder since he’s replacing Rapp if you see him doing more of what he did in college vs being in two high Quote

Damn man...how long is he going to be out? The Bills could have just put him on IR...they kept saying he wouldn't be out long enough but now he will be most likely. Rapp not being in hurts...he has been playing very very well. Wonder if Hyde gets the call... Quote
