This game is not going to be easy. The rams are very talented and they will make us prove we can stop the run. I’d be more impressed with a win at LA than I was with 49ers. Got to find a way to keep it rolling but this will not be an easy game.

I disagree if only that McVay is the type of coach that doesn’t stick with the run. I’ve seen many games where Williams is getting high YPC only to then see him throw the ball 8 times in a row

He’s the best QB in the nfc. I mean I’m not assuming everyone else watches all things NFL but the guy is a hall of famer. This game is not a joke he’s the best QB we will face all year that wasn’t mahomes

I agree. I think he'll really enjoy playing this game and will play loose and relaxed. I expect big passing numbers but also a couple of turnovers as well

Most of the play call has options built into it. QB can change at the line especially for a veteran QB like Stafford.

Well then Stafford a greedy mf in that case

There is a lot of games played at LOS. Defense can show some set up then change into another when the ball is snapped.

An example is Bills Chiefs game Josh's game clinching 26 yard run. He said himself that in a similar play earlier in the game, the Chiefs played man. This time they showed zone. But Josh believed that they would switch to man after the snap (typically in 4th and short, teams play man because they believe it is the quick play and want max bodies near the line). Well they didn't switch out of zone. The Bills ran their favorite man-beater mash play where Cooper was supposed to get the ball - Cooper actually said Josh could throw the ball to him but he was anxious in whether he could make it pass the first down marker. Josh obviously didn't not want to risk it and ran it in himself. It's really a broken play because it is harder for the opposing team to run QB without designed blocking against zone (where the defense is facing the QB most of the time). If you look closely, Spencer Brown blocked the DE initially and the DE saw Allen was taking off behind Brown, dis-engaged and dived to Allen - I don't believe Allen saw him at all and Brown was not trying to prevent that either because he didn't know Allen took off.

The Lambs are a mediocre NFC team. They pose no more of a problem than SF or Seattle did, and they have zero homefield advantage.  We will win by multiple scores.

I'm surprised to see that the Rams are having a fairly middle-of-the-road season on offense. They have a lot of talent.

O-line isn't great. I think that's the greatest limitation on their offense.

The Chiefs have some tough games on their schedule as well. I could see them losing a few of them.

at Browns

Texans

at Steelers

at Broncos

I would say that the Chiefs don't have any easy games remaining. I could definitely see them losing 2 or even 3 as the the pendulum of luck swings back the other way on them.

Interesting article. A rather modest home, really (cost, and community notwithstanding). And Sam Darnold lives in the same gated community. They're close friends, apparently.

They've been friends at least since college.  They've shared the same off-season quarterbacking guru since then.

Passing plays into Buffalo defense strength.  Mcvay will see what San Fran was able to do and try to exploit that.  With a returning Carter and Milano knocking off rust I think running will be harder than they anticipate.

I think there is very little to be learned from a game played in the conditions that San Francisco experienced in Buffalo, unless you're expecting to play in similar weather.  When Buffalo is on offense against the Rams, the play calling will be different, but the biggest difference will be the way the skill players run routes and make cuts with the ball in hand.  Likewise, the Rams will be able to do things very differently with perfect field conditions.  I agree that Milano is going to be on an upwards performance curve over the next couple weeks and the presence of both Carter and Milano will be good for run defense.

I saw the dive...and I think I heard the DE yell "Oh no...." just as he dove short of Josh.

As for this game, I find the Rams mediocre. I couldn't believe the talking heads on ESPN we're talking about them as SB contenders after they won a couple in a row. They are stout up front in their pass rush but they are weak on the back end. If we can keep their pass rush at bay I think we feast on their defense. The Rams are dangerous on offense but wildly inconsistent even with all of their weapons.

Ya they are probably a mediocre/average team.

They got a lot of skill with their WRs and D line, but their O line is horrendeous in pass pro.

Bills D line needs to dominate this game
