This stat isn't talked about enough

so last year for example we lost to cincy then Denver then went 6-1 to finish the year. The year before that we lost to  jets then Vikings then finished 7-0. 2021 we lost to pats then bucs and finished 4-0.  2020 we lost to titans then chiefs then went 9-1 (lost on the hail Murray). So over that four year stretch we were 26-2

As many times as you can, until someone comes up with some other freaky stat, like how many games the Bills have won when a child who has beaten cancer, but is the opposing team's fan, gets allegedly thrown down the stairs at a Sunday night game.

The point of the OP stat is that McD and his players do a good job of learning from their mistakes and don't let a few bad games ruin the season and in fact comeback stronger.  I wish the Sabres could learn the same thing.  As Berman says, no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.

great stat... but from my perspective... focus.. go 1-0 against the rams... then on to Detroit. Then the next until they tell us to stop playing. I like this teams focus.. they just need to maintain it.

Looks a bit like another fun with numbers stat.

 

But it is noteworthy and merits looking at it as a positive reflection on McDermott…..as tough as that can be sometimes.

In 2020, Buffalo went 11-1 following two consecutive losses after starting out the season with 4 straight wins.  That includes two playoff wins before they lost to KC.  The OP could not have counted Buffalo's first regular season game in 2021 as a second consecutive loss after the playoff loss to KC at the start of the calendar year because Buffalo went 7-3 after that until they had consecutive losses in early December.  After those consecutive losses, Buffalo ran off five straight wins until their almost annual playoff loss to the Chiefs.   The precedent established that we don't carry over from the previous season, nothing gets counted in 2023 until Buffalo suffers consecutive losses in early November to the Jets and Vikings. Then begins a stretch of 8 straight wins before Buffalo lost to Cincinnati in the playoffs.  One game was canceled due to weather.  We start counting in mid-November of the 2024 season where Buffalo begins a run of eight straight games before losing against, you guessed it, Kansas City.  By my count, Buffalo's record after consecutive losses is 32-4.  That counts playoff games but not preseason games.  It does not carry over from season to season.  It does not count the consecutive losses.
