You don't even have to try hard to convince me. I've been to 1-2 hundred games probably, feel like ive seen it all, and this would be horrifically shocking to me. I have no doubt, if someone pushed a little kid (even without a cancer sign) down stairs, they would be assaulted by dozens of people. In our section (cheap seats), people always look out for and are friendly to kids. Edited Monday at 11:02 PM by May Day 10 4 Quote

Most bills fans are meaner to each other than opposing fans Obviously that isn't 100% true but from the lots to the stadium opposing fans experience at the ralph is wayyy better than being an opposing fan in Philly or Oakland back in the day Those are places I would never go ... Generally bills fan give some lite hearted ribbing while being pretty good hosts... With a minority of real #######s Over the last 30 years I've seen way more bills fan on bills fan violence then beating up on an opposing fan... To begin with, why would anyone make their little daughter stand there with that sign? As others have said, this looks to be a money scam, but what do I know? I’m just a cracker! I believe the moms social media post is what sets off skepticism. It seems to gloss over this major heinous, bizarre, and criminal act, and what would have had to be significant biblical immediate aftermath... and focuses on the fact they had to leave, along with several pictures that depict the girl with her cancer sign. It seems very deliberate. So many questions. And there is a gofundme which will surely take off from the publicity, along with people just accepting the first thing they hear as fact Edited Monday at 11:45 PM by May Day 10 1 Quote

Having myself recently been to a game in which it was almost impossible to sit down because of the excessive amounts of snow on the seats (last year’s divisional vs chiefs had INSANE volumes of snow), I think that a heavy snow night game is no place for a young girl with cancer unless you’re in a suite… This is high level trolling. Remember Swift didn’t come back. It wasn’t family / bougie friendly enough for her. It’s not Coachella. It can be a bit grungy— eg bathrooms and also quite difficult to move around. These kinds of games are an acquired taste. Maybe the new stadium will be different. This is probably trauma farming. Edited Monday at 11:28 PM by The Helmet of Quote

K D Posted Monday at 11:26 PM Posted Monday at 11:26 PM (edited) So some fanatical Bills fan pushed a little girl because she was wearing 49ers gear? I find that very very hard to believe. That guy would be in the hospital if that really happened, nobody would put up with that. More likely a bunch of drunk people were walking around and one might have accidentally bumped into a small child they didn't see while navigating a sea of people. I've been going to Bills games since elementary school. It's part of the experience. Maybe that happens and then the dad shoves the guy and says "watch where you're going" and that's the end of it. What a world we live in where something like that gets posted online as if it's a hate crime. Edited Monday at 11:27 PM by K D 1 Quote

What a great time to be alive and a Bills fan. Go Bills! It's like the stadium version of the hot/crazy matrix. Anything more than an 8 drunk and less than a 4 crazy? You're just unconscious. Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted Monday at 11:44 PM Posted Monday at 11:44 PM (edited) My immediate thought is that this is either a lie caused to stir outrage and funding or a misunderstanding. I can easily see a situation where, passing each other on the stairs, a drunk person stumbled and bumped into the kid and they took a small spill. But even that as an accident would lead to people being like "wtf are you doing?". But as others have said, there's ZERO chance that a child is tumbling down stairs after being outright shoved and that Bills fan isn't attacked by multiple fans. I'm not a confrontational person. But best believe if I saw an adult fan shove a child down the stairs, i'm getting into it with that person. And I definitely wouldn't be the only one. The fact that it seems they were shoved down the stairs, nothing else happened, and they just left? That doesn't remotely add up. Especially when there doesn't seem to be any corroborating stories from others in the section. Edited yesterday at 12:54 AM by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote

Purposely pushing and slipping into are much different, as is bumping into (we always should be mindful of children in our areas). Those stairs were really bad last night, almost as bad as that Pittsburgh game. I was pretty sober, and I slipped down, but caught myself (partially using a big fella standing at the end of a row to save me). Yeah I sit in great seats in 134 which are some of the first one's cleaned out when it snows and I watched a few people slip going down the stairs so as I left I was being extra careful, there was nobody around me, and I still almost fell backward fortunately righted myself and was MF'ing the steps the rest of the way down. It was INCREDIBLY slippery. I don't know what happened but if this woman is attacking the Bills fan base over somebody slipping on the stairs and knocking her child over she is way out of line. It sounds way more like an accident than anything intentional. Alcohol induced perhaps? Well don't bring your kid to a giant alcohol sanctioned slippery stairs event with 98% people 18 and over maybe? I've never understood people who try to bring wee children to a game and not expect them to experience a little trauma around adults partying while enjoying their favorite blood sport.😂 1 Quote
