If the fan bumped the father and the son "a little bit", it sounds as though that's probably what he did to the little girl, bumped her, only she was less steady.

 

"I'm gonna push through fans" doesn't sound like throwing someone down the stairs or even deliberately pushing someone down the stairs.

As several people have noticed, the stairs were icy and snow-packed and people were falling on the regular without any pushing at all.

In the registration process... They asked me why and how long have I been a Jets fan

I caught it now 😂 obviously you agree still not young children friendly lmao, I put this ACCIDENT on the parents. It is a bad look. If my young children wanted to watch a primetime, snow game, than MAYBE I will let them stay up that late and watch on tv… MAYBE…, I have 10+ friends who all told me that due to the weather they didn’t get home until 4-6am… not an acceptable time for a young child. The choices of the parents should also be considered. I mean, not really appropriate if you ask me

I got taken to all kind of late night stuff as a kiddo, but Hell woulda been renting out ice skates before I was taken to a night event on a school night.

But when you have a child in remission from cancer....it does change your risk perception. 

We all live our lives as though there will be time enough; you can wait and take the 4 year old to a Bills game when they're 14
 

Once the kid has had cancer....you always worry it will come back.  You have to live as though there might not be tomorrow for them.  So if there's something rare and really important, like you're all big 49ers fans but can't afford to fly to San Francisco for a game, and the 9ers are playing in Buffalo....I can understand why you "seize the day".

 

I think they shoulda picked seats in the family section, myself.   But I understand why they went to the game.

15+ years of playoff drought gave rise to a hopeless rust belt binge drinking display on gamedays; the tailgate WAS the spectacle. So many millennials and Xers don't even remember a good portion of the actual games they attended during the drought.

This story lis getting a lot of media coverage and looks like a big thing this morning. Going thru life drunk and stupid isn't a good look. No excuse for this behavior. These alcoholics should get to rehab. They're a disgrace and an embaressment to our fan base and team.

I can't believe people here are making excuses for this behavior. It sucks, and one of the reasons I don't attend too many games in-person. Lots of bad experiences from both Bills and non-Bills fans over the years. I probably attend only one game per year.

 

There's no reason to be so wasted you ruin everyone else's good time. Bills fans are better than this, and if you aren't better than this then you can screw off. Seriously, go to hell. Behave honorably, even when drunk. 

 

And being a survivor myself, it makes me mad when something like this happens to someone who has fought a battle nobody can really understand until you have to do it yourself. Especially someone so young. You never know what the person next to you is going through / has gone through. 

 

So now there will be responses to this accusing this post being a "holier than thou" post. Go ahead. I have no problem adding to my "I don't want to see idiots on TBD" list so I don't see your crap.

Nobody is excusing the behavior.  Questioning whether the behavior happened.  There are various holes in the story and zero people (including some from that section) have claimed to have notice anything.

 

In our section, there is an unwritten code to look out for kids.  I'm sure it's that way everywhere.  Especially if said kid has a cancer sign.

 

I think it's pretty unanimous that in the unlikely event someone purposely shoved this girl, they should be tossed off the upper deck

I hope at some point actual evidence surfaces.  At this point the story has changed from she was pushed down stairs to bumped into a seat.  No video has popped up to show anything.  Everyone has said how the steps were very treacherous.  At this point I believe it was an accident not some evil ba$tard.  But the press will always look for the worst in people.
