I am sure it wasn’t a pleasant experience, but this does not sound traumatizing in any way. The biggest thing to me now is the admission by the parents that it actually wasn't "thrown down the stairs" - which really is the inflammatory language that made the story take off. Would not have had quite the same traction and outrage if the headline was "little girl bumped at Bills game!". Is the mother going to make another Facebook post to clarfy her daughter wasn't really "thrown down the stairs" - or anything even resembling it - then is AB going to carry the banner for that 2 1 Quote

zow2 Posted yesterday at 02:30 PM Posted yesterday at 02:30 PM Instead of the public stepping up wanting to donate and help this family through this "terribly emotional" situation, the person that supposedly bumped the little girl, even by accident should be found and outed. Find out what really happened, and if he bumped into her publicly apologize. End of story. I sat around 50 Miami Dolphins fans a few weeks ago in our section, adults, teens, kids, etc,, no Bills fans said a peep to anyone even though these folks were up and cheering for Miami, going nuts. People for the most part are not jerks...and certainly not to little kids, holding an "I beat Cancer" sign. 1 1 Quote

People are always super cool with kids, especially when they are wearing opposing teams' gear. Maybe it is because everything typically goes the Bills' way (I don't recall any nastiness in the past 2 home playoff losses). Behavior in that stadium is in a different universe than it was 15-20 years ago. There is a huge Erie County Sheriff presence, and I am sure technology is helping. You see a swam of sheriffs before anything even happens. I saw my a fight last week (Bills fan vs Bills fan), and we remarked it was the first fight we have seen in several years. We are in the rockpile too. 3 Quote

If I'm reading this story correctly somebody accidentally bumped into a girl at an nfl game? During icy snowy conditions in a packed crowd mind you. I don't think we should "find and out the guy" like you suggest. We should ruin this guys life and career because he accidentally bumped into someone? Yeah it's *****, he should've apologized then and there (we don't even know if he did or didnt) and that's that. No need for the parents to react this way and no way for us to be burning the town down to find him. 1 1 Quote
HopefulFuture Posted yesterday at 02:47 PM Posted yesterday at 02:47 PM Something doesn't add up with this story. Either the little girl was thrown down the stairs as the mother suggests, leading to an arrest by police for child abuse, child endangerment and felonious assault, or it was incidental contact without an apology? Maybe? Why did the father not spring in to action to protect his daughter? Why is there no police report, or even a logged radio call? So many questions. 1 2 Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted yesterday at 02:53 PM Posted yesterday at 02:53 PM HIGHLY doubt this is accurate. There are cameras as well. If any of us saw someone do that, that person would have 6 swinging on em. Quote
JohnNord Posted yesterday at 02:56 PM Posted yesterday at 02:56 PM Here is the follow up story from Channel 4. The incident went down as many of us had speculated. A drunk fan tried shoving his way past a family of 49ers fans and in the process the little girl was shoved and slipped against a chair is the aisle. While the fan was rude and impatient and the situation could have (and should have) been avoided, it sounds like it was unintentional. Channel 4 should have presented this a little more accurately. But the girl and her dad seem very kind and after what they’ve gone through, they certainly deserve a nice experience at the stadium as well as every donation dollar that’s coming in. In the end it seems like some good will come out of this bad experience for them. Quote

Whenever I'm about to maliciously push a child down the stairs, I make sure to proclaim out loud "I'm going to push this child down the stairs" in a way that only the victim's father can hear me. It's like my murders, I always announce them on social media prior to heading over to see the victim. 1 Quote
Low Positive Posted yesterday at 02:58 PM Posted yesterday at 02:58 PM (edited) Look at the crowd in any other NFL stadium. They are all seated while watching the game. That's what people expect at an NFL game, and what these parents expected when they decided to bring their kid to the game. Not so in Buffalo. The only purpose of the seats/benches at Highmark is to keep people from getting trampled like they used to in the terraces at English football matches. zow2 Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM According to the anchor on WIVB.. Mia was "shoved by a member of the Mafia". Jeez, stop referencing the Mafia with every story. That phrase has to be used by every single national media person talking about the Bills. It's enough already. I guess it irks me because as a little kid I went to games at the Rockpile with my grandfather and a lot of have been fans long before anyone coined the entire fanbase as the mafia. 1 Quote

T master Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM First off - why would any one listen to AB, second - why would any one believe anything AB says, third - if this was true i'm thinking that someone other than AB would have posted it by now because AB sure as H*LL wasn't anywhere near that game . AB is a huge POS & the only reason why he mentioned any of this is to draw attention to his sorry a** !! Quote
sonyab1974 Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM I saw that on twitter! I have no idea if it's true or not. I didn't hear it on any new source. Quote

DapperCam Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM Based on the WIVB story it sounds a lot like a drunk guy said "I'm going down the stairs" and then he did. The little girl was bumped and fell into someone's lap. Something like this happens every football game I'd imagine without a news story. Is it rude to bump people as you go down the stairs? Yes, especially children. Did "Bills Mafia" decide as a group to grab this girl and throw her off the upper deck as portrayed initially? No... Quote

It's pretty much exactly what we thought when AB went on his rant. Much worse has happened at events that doesn't get a hyped story attached to it. This was another case of click bait headlines designed to outrage. The girl is fine she got bumped by a Bills fan in snowy conditions. Nothing more than a simple sorry from the bumper to the bumpee was the only outcome that should of happened, no hype, not clickbait BS... and most improtantly.... Nobody was thrown down the stairs..
