The father came out with another version - being bumped - that is closer to the realm of possibility - though the level of intent/rudeness/evil of the perpetrator is still up for debate. It sucks that there was likely some drunk a-hole that might have acted improperly and negatively impacted this family's experience, but the inflammatory (and untrue) "pushed down the stairs" that the mother initially posted on social media is also improper behavior by her. It was irresponsible to misrepresent the incident using such violent imagery in a public forum. Why aren't any of the 'journalists' reporting on this not asking her why her "pushed down the stairs" story does not match what her husband says - and ask her if she wants to amend her initial account. That might help to put the incident in more perspective and quell some of the the extreme negative reaction that has come from it Where did only the mother say the child was pushed down the stairs? You realize the father and mother share a Facebook account, right? Who says it wasn’t the father that made the Facebook post? If you listen to the father and daughter’s interviews across the various local news networks, the family was on the stairs leaving at halftime of the game. A person behind them said “I’m going to push through these 49er fans”, and proceeded to push past the mom, dad and eventually daughter when he knocked her down the stairs, which luckily sounds like she didn’t slip too far. If there’s a gripe to be had, it probably should be with the reporters, as it took listening to like three different news stations to actually get a clear picture of what the father and daughter are saying happened. And at this point, I agree that any of the news stations using language like “a member of the Bills mafia” did this are the ones using the inflammatory language. But I disagree with blaming the family for commenting on their bad experience. 1 Quote

Sounds like mom-speak, seeing dozens of moms spamming FB every day. Exclamation points, emoji use. Dads dont got time for that. Also the selfie. No mention of the snowball detail... which is now the most serious detail that apparently forced them to leave. Edited December 4 by May Day 10 3 1 1 Quote

"I almost slipped" somehow devolved into needing to deal with the police and leave the game early? I'm sorry but this whole thing stinks to high heaven. 2 Quote

The same article reports that the Bills have reached out to the family Quote The Buffalo Bills have reportedly reached out to a young fan who experienced an ugly incident during the team’s 35-10 win against the San Francisco 49ers last weekend. They kind of have to, there are articles in all sorts of news media about it now from the Toronto Sun to SI The reporter who originally tweeted about it, who works with Hope Rises, also reported that the Bills have reached out https://www.facebook.com/hoperisesnews/posts/pfbid02r69AddfD9WDJF59q4LTUDZtqNUTuCGpS9cfimFaa6SjLCuXS2iCb4cwZ7Q4QxaCrl Edited December 4 by Beck Water Quote

boyst Posted December 4 Posted December 4 I'm gonna be that guy to say this just has stinks all over it. I'm sure some fan was obnoxious at a football game, I'm sure some fan was shoulder to shoulder with everyone else and may have bumped others trying to get out of the stands. We have all seen that. Maybe. The guy had been drinking, maybe the guy was a little rough or too far with his haste to leave and bumped a small child who slipped. But, the dad didn't do anything (either because he's weak or it wasn't justified) but the fans around didn't either. And the police didn't. I've been to games where I've seen fights happen and the fans 100% stopped it. From a playoff game in Houston where the perp was run down and tackled to a Bills game where a guy was driving recklessly and when he came to stop ripped from his car and beaten up with keys in car and police alerted. This just seems too f'n weird. In a world where people use their children for fame, women post breast feeding videos to promote their OF, where all sorts of shameless acts occur i can easily imagine the mother posting something exaggerating the situation not realizing (or maybe realizing) that it would blow up and now is cashing in on it. Hell, the Buffalo Bills just said they will help the girl out. So, she's gonna get $$$$$ on godundme which all goes to her parents and then so much more. Just don't like this. Don't believe this one face value. There would be a whole lot more to this, including video, if it went down like this. 1 1 1 Quote

Cancer treatment is awful with thousands of dollars of deductables and expenses even good insurance won't cover So I have nothing against a family getting some $$ to help them with their battle But her Gofundme has gotten pretty plump from the incident. 1 Quote

Beck Water Posted December 4 Posted December 4 18 minutes ago, SoonerBillsFan said: The story keeps changing Strangely enough, in actual news outlets featuring actual interviews, it doesn't. The family was on the stairs, a rowdy Bills fan didn't wait for them to clear but said "I'm gonna push through those 49ers fans", he bumped the father and son, then he bumped the girl who slipped and fell into a chair, bruising her ribs. He was a jerk and an #######, but not a malicious assaultive criminal from the sound of it. That's consistent with reports of people in that section who didn't see anything out of the way - people must have been getting bumped and slipping and falling all through the game, so that wasn't a happening that would cause fans to rise up and beat the crap out of the guy before delivering him to the hands of the law, like actually throwing a child down the stairs would have been. It's Antonio Brown tweeting about "Bills fan throws little girl with cancer down the stairs" and to some extent, the mom's original angry post about "pushed her daughter down the stairs" (moms of kids with cancer are allowed to be emotional and protective Mama Bears IMO but AB is just an attention ***** Quote
