We're all familiar with the Jim Kelly Curse: Since the Bills' four SB losses, no quarterback that has lost his first Super Bowl has ever played in another. If the effect holds true this season, that's bad news for the contending Lions and Eagles...both quarterbacked by curse candidates. Perhaps Goff is safe because his SB loss was with another club. Should the Bills advance to the SB and the curse hold, who might be their opponent. Vikings? Packers?

In the NFC I think it will either be the Lions or Eagles. In the AFC I don't think the Chiefs make it this year. I think it's between the Bills, Steelers or Ravens.

I did not know that. Interesting.

Agree 100% brother.  Those 5 teams are the field this year

I don't include the Steelers. I do think the Chiefs are in it (though I agree it feels like it is someome else's year) and I still give a squeak in the NFC to the Packers.

I don't want to talk about the AFC, because I'm superstitious. I like the Packers in the NFC, because I think Love is the best qb in that conference and that team is well coached.

The Steelers are very good. At 9-3 that defense is legit, and TJ Watt is arguable the best defensive player in the game. Also, Wilson gives them the threat of the deep ball which is something they have lacked since Ben was there. Tomlin is a very good coach. He hasn't had one losing season in his time there plus he does have a Super Bowl championship on his resume. The Steelers would give the Bills a tough game.

I will be a true believer in this if the nfc champ isn’t the eagles or lions haha anything is possible though I just never fully bought in to hurts/goff I wouldn’t be too shocked if Minnesota/gb make it through

I think there is some recency bias this morning after yesterday that believes the Steelers O is better than it is. The Bengals D sucks. I don't think there is any way Russ marches them up and down the field on consecutive playoff teams.

So are they a threat to pull an upset and knock off a Bills or a Chiefs or a Ravens in a one off matchup? Sure. But can they win 4 post season games and hoist a Lombardi? Not for me.

People are sleeping on the Steelers for sure.  Must be because of Wilson’s time with the broncos which doesn’t even make sense 😂 I don’t think any of the better seeded teams want to see the ravens take the afc north back cuz that early round game against pit is def scary lol I could easily see them taking out Houston and KC.  Guess we’ll see how the Christmas Day game goes but pit feels like a real bad matchup for the chiefs.

I don’t think they’ll get past the afc championship though

I feel so conditioned to think that the chiefs will find a way to the Super Bowl again. It’s like all those years with the patriots. I have never wanted to be so wrong.

NFC: Eagles, Lions, Packers

AFC: Bills, Ravens, Chiefs

Thinking this is the group who makes up the Championship teams. Could the Texans, Cardinals, Vikings, Steelers, or Broncos really screw some stuff up? Sure. It's a pretty deep group this year. But I like these 6 for bigger things.

I never knew there was a Jim Kelly curse, i always thought it was some curse that involved the Ralph being built on or disturbing a indian burial ground on the property where it was built and that was the reason for losing 4 in a row . 🤔

The JK Curse isn't about the Bills' four losses. It's about SB quarterbacks ever since. But thx for getting it. Most responses are not about the OP.

A couple of good cigars and some rum for Jobu will fix that.

If they would definitely have Jaylen Watson back and 100% healthy I think they’d have a shot but they just have one too many holes imo

Their corner depth is so bad that there’s such an obvious spot to pick on and its hard for the defense to carry the offense, and the problems at OT make it hard for the offense to carry the defense

last season I don’t think their roster was Super Bowl caliber but they were so healthy down the stretch and other teams weren’t that it ended up catching their talent level up to everyone else

The last QB to lose their first SB but win later is Elway. Warner Peyton Brady Wilson & Mahomes have all lost SBs after winning, but Elway is the last to have lost and won after.

Speaking of the Eagles, I said to my buddy last year after th Eagles game that it would ironic if we made it to the Super Bowl and beat the only NFC East team we didn’t face during that 4 year run for our first Lombardi.

Would be wild and perfect if the curse indeed is true. Bills/Eagles Super Bowl please!

(Cardinals don’t count after realignment).

I wish the axes were labeled on this chart and there was a source. (Is offensive epa the x-axis?)
