I thought one of those twitter Docs said its probably a 3-6 month injury for Smoot.  He also has put his house on the market so I think his time in Buffalo may be done.

Damn. I hadn't seen that, and was hoping he'd come back. Nice player.

Having depth to not rush players back is big.  Smoot, Carter, Kincaid and Coleman are all good players.  Getting 2 rookies some time to reset their seasons will help them down the stretch.  Smoot and Kincaid having the ability to get healthy is huge too.  Smoot and Carter both help the run defense.  Kincaid and Coleman both make the offense more dynamic.  Team is finding their identity, the roster is getting good players back.  Creates a good dynamic down the stretch.

I’m not a rest before the playoffs guy. I want them healthy but I also want them playing their best football.

I would love to get the 1 seed though.

The clinch #1 seed after beating jets, im sitting key starters at New England

With the exception of Smoot, it’s trending the Bills will have all their injured players back within the next two weeks. Speaking of Smoot, is there any timeframe on his return? Getting Smoot and Carter back should help the DL.

Right now, I’d slow roll the return of Kincaid and Coleman until they are 100%.  Hopefully Milano is much better against the Rams after knocking off some rust!

It will be interesting how McDermott manages the playing time down the stretch.  The Bills really have a deep roster. Great problem to have!

LETS GO BUFFALO!

Not complaining but geez, we could really use some interior DLine help... I havent seen Oliver or Jones make a play in a long time... they are the Achilles of that Dfense. Would love to have an improved run D going into the playoffs... dont know if Carter does that... but at least its a shot.

Yeah nothing on Smooth, he had surgery for the wrist.

Banged Up Bills estimated 6-9 weeks if it was a wrist fracture, meaning Week 18 for a return.

Smoot doesn't rank nationally, so no large reporter has followed up on this injury.

This was November 3rd, so we're only at Week 4 now, so he's most likely out several more weeks.

Don't know if Beane has snap count incentives built into some of these player contracts.  I'm all for player workload management but most of these guys only have a few years to make big bucks, and you might be playing with fire to load manage to a point where they lose an incentive.
