100% !! I thought the same thing... the interview was funny too... Josh was like I threw a horrible ball and followed it up cause I was worried about it getting picked... Coop was like I just saw Josh running at me and he looked like he wanted the ball so I gave it to him LOL... classic.

I'm not ready to have that conversation yet, and when I am I'll have to add the clarifier "on offense".

But I admit that it has been creeping into my head as of late.

It's like every single week he does something that I have never seen anybody do before; and it just keeps happening over and over and over again.

 

I don't know if you're a Sabres fan, but it reminds me a lot of watching Hasek's career.

After a couple years you realized you were seeing something truly extraordinary and felt privileged to have a front row seat to the greatest performance of all time.

Josh Allen is absolutely beginning to encroach on that territory, imo.

Which is why 40 times are so overrated. Josh has the definition of “game speed.” Something that went above everyones

head was his athletic ability even the Bills somewhat.

It absolutely reminded me of a lot of those early-2000s Dolhins games where the snow came in and the visiting team just gave up.

 

Especially when they showed CMC walking to the locker room. I know he's a true competitor and was actually injured, but I immediately thought of Ricky Williams just throwing in the towel and going to the showers early to get out of the cold.

 

Being at that "Let it snow!" game is one of my all time favorite Bills memories.

Years from now, it will be obvious in retrospect. Another generation will be jealous we got to see him play live, like I'm jealous of those who got to see Jim Brown and Walter Payton.

It still bugs me though that he and some other talking heads are so careful to qualify "I said player, not QB" - there being some kind of perceived blasphemy to not auto-crown the almighty Patrick.  F that - there's no doubt Josh is a better QB than Mahomes at this point

I dont think of it as a diminishing qualifier. I think it is meant to illustrate that he is the best player, across all positions, including QBs.
