All week long, all the talk on sports radio has been about the 49ers are emotionally and physically drained following three deaths of family members and a gunshot wound to a teammate, plus all the injuries. They say they need to start the rebuilding process and their window has closed. Many fans are even calling for the termination of Kyle Shanahan as he is outcoached every game and can't win the big one. There is a lot of hatred for him here. I have it on good authority from many experts here that emotional exhaustion is a myth. 2 Quote

McDermott, I think, accepted the fact that Frazier was going to be far more vanilla in his approach to the defense. They did at least share a preference for four down linemen and a zone heavy secondary. However, and McDermott gained more experience and comfort in his position, I think he grew dissatisfied with vanilla on defense. It was out of respect for Frazier that McDermott and company engineered an amicable departure for Frazier. Babich, while he coached DBs under Frazier I think has been influenced by McDermott right along and got a full dose of his influence after Frazier left. I think Babich is fully McDermott's man in his defensive philosophy. Likewise, on offense, I think Brady reflect what McDermott wants to see on offense, balance and creativity. He has created a staff and team he has wanted. People heard he wanted to run more and took that as wanting to be conservative on offense. A reliable run game compliments Allen and the passing attack. Makes Buffalo a harder team to defend. Take what the defense gives you and more. Run after the catch and traditional running game makes defenses defend all 11 players and the whole field. Not just Allen and the 15-20 yard laser show. Coming from Jim Johnson he always had that attack mindset on defense. Benard and Milano have the ability to blitz or play coverage at a high level. Babich matches what Mcdermott wants and has pulled the right levers most of the season. Quote

For November, he was doing Science Challenges and the lab coat, white wig, glasses, and gloves, were the outfit he filmed in. The things he did weren't novel, but his delivery was cool, his explanations were good, and if his message was "Watch this kids! Knox has always been a legitimate top 15ish te tho and is great for two te sets and depth. Kincaid is special I agree that Kincade is special. Problem is Knox has been doing pretty darn good since Kincaid has been out and his stats are pretty darn comparable. 11 hours ago, MrEpsYtown said: Knox seems revitalized with more opportunities. So watching the Raiders for the first time all year, I love how they used Brock Bowers. He was all over the place, in line, out wide, in the slot, in the backfield. I not trying to be nitpicky here, I am very happy with our offense and the Bills should not be taking pointers from the Raiders.... but Kincaid is not really a traditional tight end and I would love to see him used the way Bowers is, I think that would expand his impact. Knox is the better traditional tight end for sure, but they can both coexist and I think we are just scratching the surface of what Kincaid can do. We need to use Kincaid like kelce is used, and how Gronk used to be used. Teach him to be a great blocker, but have him be the down the middle of the field 20 yards or so, or sitting where there is openings in the coverage. right now the way we use our tight ends, I think Knox is playing very well. But if Kincaid was able to open his game as passing threat, he’d be much better than Knox. Right now, the way we use our tight ends, they’re pretty comparable with Knox playing very well lately.
