Those two plays are what Allen is this year.

 

On the flat route to Davidson Josh sees that Warner had diagnosed it and it was poised to pick it if it came out as designed. He bought time, and protected the ball by throwing it where no defender could attain it.

 

On the TD to Hollins he identifies the man coverage, waits for Hollins to stack his guy, and throws it with precision to the space where only Hollins can go get it.

 

That was not physically gifted stomp-all-over-you Superman stuff, nor was it arm talent. That was friggin' game management, at a high level. That was Drew Brees.

100%, he let Warner off the hook by flattening that out. It was there, but alas, it matters not.
