What are you doing with the spare time before the game?

Straightening out and stowing as lol the bits and pieces on my boat, heading south at the end of the week,

Well, we had a water leak in our ceiling at about 1am last night, so me and my wife were cleaning up the mess and arguing about what the problem was cause there were no obvious signs, but that water was pouring and raining down into our basement like you wouldn't believe.

 

So, after some investigation this morning, it seems that some condensation from our air exchanger (which i took out last summer, but the outside venting is still run to open air) is to blame.

I'm still screwing around with cleaning up the water and trying to fix everything so i'll be all set to go for 8pm tonight.

We finished up the decorations for the house today along with church and the gym.  Watched a bit of football, but told my wife to go shop or something, as she know I’m not a napper.  I’m only making a last ditch effort to maybe get a few winks as staying up for late games sucks when I’m busy from 5am until bed.  
 

Maybe if I can get 30, I will have the energy to stay up til midnight.  My wife is patient as she knows what a fanatic Im about the Bills.  She asked of the last one, amd said yes except for maybe playoffs.

 

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been eating turkey, MP, and veggies since Thursday.  Im not normally over apple pie, even warmed up, but enough is enough.

Myself, we are at the climbing gym. I'll go for a run before the game and dinner at in laws right before kickoff.

When I called home to the family from the Chiefs game my daughter saw my bills emblem and ran to her hamper to get her bills hoody to wave and say "heyyyeyyyeyyyeyyyyy."

Sorry to hear that.   Water leaks into the home are awful.

Thursday was not the only day to be thankful! I am thankful for that today. 😊

 

The wife decided after planting in the backyard that she would clean up. We live in a neighborhood where all the outside maintenance is included in the HOA (tiny lots). They send guys several times a week this time of year to blow the leaves out of your yard and to the street where they actually dispose of them. (Blowing them from my yard to your yard doesn’t really work very well in nature.)  That sounds pretty cool, right? 

 

The wifey decides to tackle the leaves and clean up. I keep reminding her that they will do that soon. I believe the final tally was 7 of those BIG paper Home Depot yard debris bags. Stuffed with leaves the guys would have had blown out of here in the next 24-48 hours. Maybe it was growing up realizing the futility of shoveling in a blizzard? Or maybe an overachiever messed up and married an underachiever. I still like my approach. 

 

We still have 4 more hours, I hope she doesn’t decide to paint the house! 

 

EDIT: it was EIGHT bags, and I got to carry them all to the road for the trash tomorrow! OR, let the people paid for that do their work. I come in the door breathing hard and she wants me to drag Christmas tree sections upstairs. She’s no slacker, she’s already brought up giant Xmas storage tubs and wreaths. I’m just complaining because I can’t keep up!

Got my class outlines done for Monday, updated my November financial report for the wife, about to go grocery shopping, helped the wife move the Xmas decor up to the living room.  Unfortunately I have to teach accounting at 9 AM tomorrow, so I may not make it through the entire game.

Watched the first half of the Steeler/Bengal game, the second half I was looking at my eyelids, just woke up in time for the Bird game and to throw things in the oven.

Taking a 2 hour detour to drive home from Western Ohio and around the lake snows 🤣
