I agree the hit on Lawrence was dirty and certainly warrents an ejection and fine.   Season ending suspension seems a bit much though.   This is still a contact sport of football.

Could not disagree much more. It was whilst Lawrence was sliding and he'd given himself up, had no protection and was hurt. There was no justification for it.

 

And it's a different era in which we understand a lot more about just how bad those kind of hits are.
