I can think of, for example, horrible clock management by Dak Prescott to lose a game for the Cowboys; showboating instead of jumping up and handing the ball to the ref by Chase Claypool that cost the Steelers about 5 seconds during their final drive that would have tied the game; I agree with @JGMcD2 that botching the crucial throw or the crucial catch or the crucial kick causes teams to lose games in the final seconds all the time, so with 32 teams playing every week the chances that this has happened in two games in a weekend seems pretty high. What's different here is that both games were the only game being played at that time and both nationally televised. "When have we seen two absolutely devastating blown games on the same weekend?" Which is what I pretty much said. These were epically stupid plays that cost both teams near certain victories. Out of a pool of what, FOUR games? Edited November 30 by Returntoglory Quote

Billsatlastin2018 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 I blame BOTH HCs! Eberfus was clearly a buffoon who held his star Rookie QB back. But when you’re getting $4.5 M to make end of game decisions,if your final TO is not taken at 0.32 secs, post a 0.33 sec sack… YOU GOTTA GO… ASAP! You are just too ***** stupid to Coach an NFL franchise! In the case of the Raiders, what was that clown even trying to do, running a play with 15 ticks and 0 TOs from the 31 yard line? You have a journeyman QB and not named Allen or Mahomes, who has trouble out of the pocket. Which he needs to do, to get that 6 yard out! Plus Spags is defending from the outside in, so you throw farther than 5 yards… in bounds… you’re dead! NO time left. KICK YOUR ***** 47 YARD FG! 1 Quote

Not only do they have the world's luckiest horseshoe crammed so far up their butts it's irretrievable, but as always, the refs just seem to come through for them at the biggest moments as well. And you know the league would love to have a team 3-Peat for the first time, especially one with the posterboy of the league and Taylor Swift's presence surrounding them. It is almost like the league is willing it into existence. So, I did the only possible thing I could think of to prevent it from happening. I went and immediately placed a bet on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl at +550. Let's see the universe deals with this one....... The Chiefs' luck and all the forces surrounding them trying to carry them to another Championship VS my betting record and terrible beats that I have been dealing with all season! Sounds like a win-win bet! Quote
zow2 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 It makes sense as those two clubs are both poorly coached and were on the road in very hostile environments. Weird things happen. Quote

Never NEVER Give-up Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Serious question - on the early snap by the Raiders Center - the penalty called was an illegal shift (I believe) which allowed the play to continue and the Chiefs recovered. I thought the call should have been illegal procedure and the play blown dead. What are your opinions??? Have you heard differently from the talking heads?? Quote
Thurman#1 Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I don't think it's as unusual as people are saying. Recency bias makes it seem so, not to mention the way the Chiefs keep squeaking by. Bad errors have gotten more common as the union has negotiated for less offseason practice time. Awful to watch, though. Quote

Man, they have hyped up the 3-peat, but I think it’s more of making them the “bad guys” because everyone needs somebody to hate. With Brady and the Pats gone, they need a villain. Now the question is, do they want to swing one for Buffalo to sell more revenue on that stadium or are they going to try to validate Lamar and send one to Baltimore. I think the better interest of the league lies with the Bills and making the ticket prices and PSLs sell at a premium for the new stadium. If they bump the revenue for the Bills they all make more money. If there’s one thing you should Always follow it’s the money. I’d bet, if there is a “script” or at least a helping hand for a team, it will favor the Bills this year. It makes more sense if you think about the loss to Baltimore, it sets up a nice conference final story about them crushing the Bills early in the year. So even if they lose, the Ravens will have 2 MVP candidates and will only have lost to the eventual SB champs. Then they can come for more next year. 3 hours ago, Billsatlastin2018 said: I blame BOTH HCs! Eberfus was clearly a buffoon who held his star Rookie QB back. Jimmy Harris 69 Posted December 1 Posted December 1 So in each case the lousy team played true to form. Not really a surprise. What’s more disappointing is the slate of crummy games on Thursday and Friday. Talk about full blown stink. It was tv dinner for the thankgiving meal. Quote
