Jimmy Harris 69 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) Once a dynasty is established, either people love them or hate them. At this point is a bit funny that folks get caught up in the Chiefs not winning well enough. But like them or not, the Chiefs find a way to beat lesser teams. Their fortunes changed here. That tells me we can do it again in the playoffs. Their close games also make the case that if a team plays the perfect game, the Chiefs will fall again. Edited November 30 by Jimmy Harris 69 1 Quote

What's a little different this year is their defense isn't as good. The pass rush isn't what is was last year and losing Sneed and Ward definitely stresses their pass defense. If you ignored the name and history of this specific team though and just looked at the metrics we'd call them a fraudulent 11-1 team. There are posts in this thread that says they’re fraudulent and would be 1 and done in the playoffs. So yes there are people that think they’re not a threat. Quote
zow2 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 I’ve said it for 4 weeks now, KC will lose in the first round, even at home, and the Bills will not see them again until next season. 1 1 Quote
chris heff Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) I know this is about Chiefs not being as good as in the past and I agree with that. Offensive line is bad (yesterday one of the announcers said they need to sign some tackles, like there are some good ones just hanging around) and their defense is suspect. But can someone explain that penalty to me? I’ve been watching football for a long time, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that. Edited November 30 by chris heff Quote

Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Easily the worst Chiefs team of the Mahomes era and yet they are on pace to finish with the best regular season record in the Mahomes era. That's what doesn't make any sense. It feels like a given that they will lose one more game before the end of the season. But that still puts them at 15-2 and the best team record of the Mahomes era. Surpasing their 14-2 season from 2020. Frustratingly, Bills probably need them to lose two more before the end of the season. They look like a team that legit can lose every game but just don't. Their +/- has to be historically bad for a one loss team. Maybe even for a two loss team. Quote
T master Posted November 30 Posted November 30 The Chiefs have it all on their side . Not only do they have talent but they have luck too ! It's going to take the Bills playing their best mistake free or at the very best a game with the least amount of mistakes as they can play & have a little bit of luck on their side to beat them . I believe McD & company have learned from past mistakes and have become the better of the two teams the only thing they do have now is much more experience on their coaching staffs when it comes to coordinators but there is always the new guy on the block and lets hope McD & this team can make it happen ! I Billeve this is the year !! GO BILLS !!!! 2 Quote

Any lead less than 9 points late in the game, especially after the two minute warning, opens the door for the Chiefs to win or at least tie on a last second FG or TD. They have that mastered. 3 Quote

If they continue to have a horseshoe up their butts I guess they might finish 4-1. 5-0 seems impossible no matter how much luck they get. 1 Quote
Talley56 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 The only thing I don't like about the narrative is it kind of belittles Buffalo's win over KC. I'd like to think the big win a couple of weeks ago was over an actual contending, not just lucky, team, even if I have to concede that KC really is still great. I guess this last month or so of the season will tell us a lot. KC has to go to Pittsburgh and Denver and they have to play Houston (Texans have been struggling lately but I still think they are overall a solid team). If the Chiefs aren't that good, and they are just luck, I'm thinking at least two of those games should be losses. 1 Quote

So yes there are people that think they’re not a threat. That's different than thinking they are not a threat. They still can win every game. They have championship pedigree. Their problem right now is that they have shown that EVERY game is going to be a dogfight. No easy wins for them. Last year in the playoffs they at least got an easy win against the Dolphins. This version of the Chiefs would be in a 3 pt game vs. that same Dolphins team. Would you honestly be shocked if they lost their first playoff game? They have 11 wins and point differential below 60 I think. 44 minutes ago, FireChans said: which makes our only win against a playoff team (them) mean exactly what about the 2024 Bills You are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts. I really want the Chiefs to get hammered in the playoffs so that this narrative about them being clutch, being able to squeeze out victories and being able to flip the switch in the playoffs can meet with a well deserved death. While their recent success is commendable, I can also use the Not For Long label to say that pedigree can easily get exposed in the playoffs if not supported by talent and ability. 1 Quote

HAHA! I mean how many other teams can claim that two days after Thanksgiving?!? You don't have to look it up. It's just the Bills. I'm actually surprised the Bucs can't claim the same. But Lions have not yet locked up a playoff spot. Admit it FireChans, you forgot the AFC West existed. I'll cut you some slack though because that entire division is down but the first and second place teams in that division have winning records and the Bills beat both.
