Jones is incredible. He’s a top 5 defensive player. At the same time, he didn’t have a sack since week 4 until yesterday. He could be prime Lawrence Taylor and the answer is still Mahomes. Having a HOF QB, with 3 Super Bowl MVPs, is always more dangerous than anyone else.

I think the Chiefs rely on him less than the Bills rely on Josh, I think they would still be a quality opponent of he went down if they had two weeks to prep for the begining of playoffs.

Would I feel bad?  Would I be mad because we didn't beat them at their best?  Nah.....screw that.

 

When's the last time we played them in the Playoffs at full health without key, important starters either out or playing severely injured?  Last year alone, we literally had our best corner playing on 1 leg and our young, stud MLB that pretty much makes this defense go, out with an injury.  That's not even to mention Benford, Davis, Rapp, Spector, and the other guys that were out and Von still a shadow of his former self.  We literally dragged someone off the couch that was planning on going to Disney come in and try to cover one of the best TEs of all time.  To this day, you will never convince me that we weren't the better team last season and, if we were completely healthy, that game never would have come down to a missed kick at the end.  It's really hard to overcome that many injured missing starters and key contributors yet, quite honestly, we still should have won that game.  

 

So yeah.....screw that.  When's the last time they actually had a serious injury in the Playoffs? If it happened to them, so be it.  Every team it seems, except for them, has had to deal with losses at key positions.  So, if for once they were to miss Mahomes, Kelce, Chris Jones, Punkchecko, etc., I couldn't care less.  I am sure their fans weren't shedding a tear with Bernard and the other guys we had out last year.

consider our D has been without basically our best players now for several years— Von, Milano, Tre White, etc. Imagine if that D missed Chris jones or even one of their LBs for stretches? It’s like how the Steelers are the no. 1 D with TJ Watt and the no. 32 D without him.

It would suck because the narrative would be that the only reason the Bills won the SB is cause Mahomes was injured. The media would still carry on all next year about how we can't beat them in the playoffs.

Cyborg at least on Josh's TD Scramble, did a pretty good job of neutralizing Chris Jones, hoping that's a hopeful sign for our guy going forward.

I couldn’t care less about “excuses” those tho no an are narratives for about a week then everyone moves on. In fact, I wouldn’t even care if the Bills got a label of “worst team to ever win a Super Bowl”

The only thing stopping the Bills this year is an injury to Josh. This topic sets off my BBFS, like we are waking the Karma Football Gods by having this discussion. Let's always hope everyone stays healthy and may the best team win. I will take a totally healthy, or near to it, Bills team against any other healthy team.
