GO BILLS! $20 is better than nothing but it still is a little cheap when we’re talking about a $4B organization. Many fans online are laughing at the idea of billionaire owners hiring random fans as day laborers for pithy wages. It makes the team look cheap. 4 hours ago, That's No Moon said: Don't worry, in the new stadium we'll be paying them $20 an hour for the privilege of being there. $25 PSL - personal shoveling license On 11/29/2024 at 7:32 PM, zow2 said: They wouldn’t have been able to build a dome strong enough to withstand Lake Erie’s madness. I seriously still get concerned that we are introducing a negative drag for WR/TE/QB FAs. There’s no WR that wants to play outside right now in OP and the season isn’t getting any shorter for Winter. DrPJax Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Watching a storm chaser on YouTube now on an iPad while watching football on tv. He just passed Highmark stadium at 10:12 pm. It is really coming down , snow looks heavy and it’s blowing horizontally as he was passing the stadium. It really looks bad. He did pass a snow plow on the other side of the road ( streamers name is Logan eschrich on YouTube streaming live ) but if this doesn’t pass quickly , I know at least as it is blizzard like now , there would be no way to play imo. Thankfully it’s early ( 10 pm ) , but there is quite a bit of accumulation already outside the stadium. If this doesn’t stop almost completely by early morning , I wonder if they even allow travel. Again , been watching off and on all day in YouTube ( gosh the snow just looks so pretty coming from a.guy born on the Ohio/ Pennsylvania border , but living in Jax fl since ‘85. We got snow here once in my 40 plus years in Jax , for a day , and it seemed more like frost with spitting flakes than real snow, and it closed all roads and bridges. lol) , and Orchard Park is really getting hit. I would bet now looking at how heavy it’s snowing as that storm chaser is driving around the OP THAT the game gets delayed/ moved. Really feel for those of you getting slammed like this. Stay safe ; sure is awesome to watch on YouTube , but I’m. beginning to have doubts about the game being played. These conditions also make it anyone’s game as there prob will be very little ability to run regular offenses in that blizzard like snow. Go bills.! 1 Quote

Pittsburgh and Cleveland's stadiums are both available. Or just play at UB with minimal fans. Quote

Three layers of clothes, chemical hand warners, and newspaper (what's that?) on the seat and concrete for insulation. Another game we wore tyvek suits (brother worked at CECOS in NF then). Bad idea. Was warm but they keep the sweat inside. We were drenched by the 4th quarter. A few years ago, went to the Jets sunday night last game of the regular season. Was 5 degrees by end of game. Never again. Had trouble walking to Hammers lot from the scoreboard end of the stadium. Legs were so cold, didn't want to work. Never again. September or October games for me. You might have gotten frost bite. Did they have to take you to the lots on a golf cart? 11 hours ago, chongli said: I don't think they/we were looking to shovel in any case. I just think offering just $20 is a cheap look for a premier organization. Like let's stick if to the fan as much as we can get away with. Heck, they should actually offer a free future meet and greet with some players, a tour of the stadium, or watching of practice. Now that would attract people. I’ve always thought that too. Other fans laugh at the Bills for offering such a pithy wage. the only good thing about this are the comments on social media when the team asks for shovelers. Lots of “a billionaire can only pay $20 an hour?” 2 Quote

Also frees up players for their holiday seasonal jobs at Canadian Tire. 😁 And there's always the chance for those freak September snowfalls that hit the prairies. Steve Billieve Posted December 1 Posted December 1 remember when this used to come with free tickets, was hoping for some cheap ones in bad weather, but I guess the only option is at the pats Quote
Draconator Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I just came home from a gig in Tonawanda. I live less than 5 miles from Highmark. The 400 was too dangerous to drive. However where I live, snow is light. Quote

Feel bad for you. Try putting it in a splint , like a towel around your neck and then resting your arm in it. You can ice it from outside the splint to protect your skin. If you have no allergies Tylenol or advil might help ( avoid Advil if you have hypertension or gi issues ). Watch for swelling Around the elbow , if it’s prominent , it can mean you need to get it x rayed to look for fractures. If you have persistent pain with extending your elbow or rotating your hand or you keep feeling or hearing that funny sound which is called crepitus and can be a sign of fracture , get checked when you can with all the snow there. Rest it on a pillow tonight to keep it above the level of your heart while lying down and that may help w pain / swelling. just some ideas to get you thru till you can see someone. Hopefully it’s a bad bruise only. Best wishes. Hope you are ok to watch the game Sunday night. Go bills ! 2 1 1 Quote

Just north of Jax they have warnings for possible freezing temps tonight below 32. It does get chilly here for a couple days then warms back up. Funny, tonight they had the boats / sailboats all decorated and going thru. Downtown Jax on the St. John’s river. They also will be having the life guard chair decorating contest at the beach here ! Looks nice , but if you grew up in the north , nothing compares to Christmas lights glistening off pristine snow ! My father always decorated the house for Christmas and put out seed for birds and salt for deer to come up into our back yard. We have a large property , 72 acres, in Ohio , 30 min from Pittsburgh, With woods surrounding the house. It was the.best. I came to Florida because that area was coal / steel dependent and sadly , it’s like a ghost town as 50% or more have left since the 70’s. But Christmas lights don’t look great on palm trees , boats , lifeguard chairs compared to reflecting off the snow! Snow was great as a kid , but.working and shoveling it around Easter took all the enjoyment away ! lol ! Best wishes , go bills ! 1 Quote
