Im not buying it.  The Raiders and Panthers went through their D like a hot knife through butter when they needed to. i don’t think the KC defense is as good.  Rashee Rice and MVS were huge in the playoffs. Kelce played big in postseason and he seems to have aged a bit in one year.  Mahomes i’ll give you because he Will step it up in the playoffs like he always does. i just think all the close wins come back at you at some point and become some close losses.

KC looks off this year, but they are still the team to beat and are still 11-1 on top of it

People were calling them done last year after they lost to raiders at home and went 3-5 in their last 8 games, and they still won the SB.

They got another gear in the playoffs

I've watched football a long time.  When I stack up the times I've felt sick to my stomach vs. the times I've felt jubilant - it really makes me wonder if I'm using my time wisely.

When I watch this team I spend the game hoping for serious injury.  It’s not a great headspace

On the plus side, have you seen how the Chiefs are playing these last few weeks? They got a ridiculous special teams play vs the Broncos, got beaten by a battered Bills team by more than a score and beat two of the worst teams in the league by a combined 5 points.

Yes, the BS is real. But coming up is:

-two current AFC division leaders (Steelers and Texans)

-two playoff caliber division rivals desperate for WC spots (Chargers and Broncos rematches)

-a fluky Browns team that I have no idea what to expect of week to week

If the last month of play continues I think there's a reasonable chance they lose two and even then if they reach the playoffs playing like this?

the NFL is “entertainment”  the Chiefs are the current “star”  Roger and Taylor Swift want KC to win, so they will

Go ahead and sympathize with the Chiefs Mike.

Everyone else is right, and it’s up to the rest of the league to not allow this to happen.

I don't think he's sympathizing with anybody. More just recognizing not every team beats the breaks off the scrubs like the Lions or even Bills do at times. KC has been doing this forever and sure they have had some good luck this year, but if you asked what do you expect the Chiefs record to be in games decided by 7 points or less I would say they win 3 of 4. We did a great job closing the door on them in our game and will likely have to do that again if we see them in the playoffs.

the chiefs didn't commit any back breaking penalties on that final drive, for instance something like Karlaftis blasting oconnell after a pass giving them 15 extra yards and stopping the clock allowing them to get set and kick a field  goal 0r run another play etc.  Instead the raiders had to be perfect.  They had to go down and run their two minute drill perfectly then leave enough time for their kicker to have a shot.  then they need to execute the kick.

KC puts so much pressure on other teams to be perfect because you know going in they will not beat themselves and if you do not believe me then go back and search this thread for all the posts (myself included) about how the game felt over when the raiders missed their second field goal attempt.  IF yo make mistakes you lose because they will not.

Andy Reid punted on 4th-2 at the Las Vegas 44-yard line with Pat Mahomes as his QB.

Yeah Mike, they make you play perfect because of pressure.

Couldn’t disagree more. The Chiefs are playing bad football. Both OT’s are not good, and if not for Andy Reid whining about the penalties Taylor got in the season opener last year, they would be flagged every play. The CB is not good. They are not getting out of the first round.

that is fine, that is what we are here to do discuss our football opinions.

I certainly agree with you there tackles stink.  They weren't great last year however and they will no doubt find a way to manage it in the playoffs.

I sure hope they do not get out of the first round that would be amazing.

The Browns have proven they aren’t running for the bus and that game is in Cleveland.  It will be a war for sure.  And the Chiefs’ other 4 games are tougher than any of the Bills’ remaining games except Detroit.

Championship DNA - ok man.

1-minute before Andy Reid punted on a 4th-2 to give the ball back and his QB was angry about it.

The Chiefs don't need to take risks to win these games. They trust their defense, or when all else fails their special teams. Why wouldn't they? Someone is going to step up and make the play, or the other team will wilt under the pressure.

They have to be the luckiest pos team I’ve ever seen… Right on par with the patriots back in the day…

To me the big difference is the defense looks no where near as good as last year. A dominant defense is how they won the Superbowl.

Mahomes and the offense will play better in the playoffs but if the defense isn't playing at an elite level like they were last season it won't be enough. The Bills, when healthy, are too good.

I think the Eagles were 11-1 last year, too. I could see KC losing 3 of their last 5.

The Bills and Ravens are not going to give the game to the Chiefs. And both teams have more talent.

Yep They are literally the modern day Patriots.

Best QB/Coach, multiple rings under their belt, find ways to win, get breaks from the other teams/refs. The parallels are insane

so view that from the potential negative outcome there.

say they go on fourth down while they are having all kinds of issues pass protecting and get stuffed like they did earlier in the game.

now the raiders have the ball at the 44 instead of their 8.   Punting led them to have drive the ball into fg range with no timeouts and then successfully execute a field goal when they have already missed 3 on the day.

At home believing in his defense is punting a sound fundamental decision or is taking an unnecessary risk and going for it on fourth down the sound approach?

think hard on that and then when you get to the answer ask yourself the question, Does KC beat people playing fundamentally sound football?

Maybe- But no matter how they finish the season it doesn't matter to me personally, as they are the champs and are the team to beat IMO

There's luck involved and it will eventually regress to the mean.  I will be sick to my stomach though if we miss the one seed by one game.  I almost prefer to lose a few now.  LOL.
