I don't think they are some bastion of fundamentals the rest of the NFL looks to. They have an elite defense, a really good QB, and a really good head coach. That has always been a recipe for staying in most games. Don’t consider their Dcrfense elite. Top 12 but not rkite 1 1 Quote

No whistle was blown.) that sideline ref who threw the flag looks like he is running onto the field immediately and signaling dead ball. Obviously everything is happening really fast and at the same time as the ball being snapped. But it sure looks like he was trying to stop the play. 1 Quote

The way their season is going, losing 2 would be a tall order. Nearly losing two weeks in a row to the two worst teams in football, I think there's a realistic chance they fall off a cliff. 1 1 Quote

The way their season is going, losing 2 would be a tall order. The way I see it… Bills need to play hard for at least 3 weeks. After the Lions game (maybe the 1st Pats game)… see where the standings are. At that point either keep playing hard for the 1 seed. Or rest players as needed to be healthy for the playoffs. AND if they get to the last week and #1 is not possible ..treat it like a bye. Quote
SaulGoodman Posted November 30 Posted November 30 25 minutes ago, RunTheBall said: The key to beating KC is you have to be up 2 scores at the 2 minute warning so the refs can’t take the game from you without it being 100% obvious. That’s a tall task, because the refs are going to try and keep it a one score game (unless KC is ahead) so they can affect the outcome at the end. No team has been the recipient of more game changing BS calls than the Pats*, but KC is a very close second. Mahomes has the most interceptions overturned by defensive penalties in the history of the NFL. That’s by design. So you just have to accept that the Chiefs are going to get the majority of the game changing calls, and plan to overcome that by steam rolling them. It’s easier said than done, but Buffalo has done it multiple times, we just need to do it in the playoffs if we meet up with them. People bring up this "most interceptions overturned" thing a lot....you do realize that the vast majority of those are free plays, right? That Mahomes sees the flag and lobs up a risky pass? Maybe the refs are psychic. One stat that is legit: Mahomes has by far the most TDs nullified by penalty of any QB since he entered the league. 1 Quote

Assuming a 50% chance of victory in each one, that's a 1 in 4,096 chance if it's based on pure luck. And it isn't just the dregs of the league they're doing this to. In that time they've done it to the Bills, the Ravens (twice), the 49ers, the Bengals, the Broncos... The result is the result. Chiefs find a way to win these games no matter the quality of their opponent. I don't see any of their remaining opponents this year getting up by two scores with 2 minutes to go which is why I'm predicting 16-1. We're the only team (with the only player) that's shown the ability to do what needs to be done in crunch time to beat them. Edited November 30 by HappyDays Quote

Ya so center snapped early qb wasn’t ready ref blew whistle and signaled false start then they called it illegal shift (not sure any raiders were moving) and called it a live ball KC recovered even after a dead ball blown whistle this was after the huddled up but you shouldn’t be able to just change the call and especially after it was blown dead for a dead ball foul Edited November 30 by mikemac2001 1 Quote

They are barely squeaking out games against the NFL’s worst teams. At some point, the luck may run out. 1 Quote

Broncos already played them tight once. I think the chiefs end up dropping at least 2 more. 1 1 Quote

A still shot taken after the snap. For anyone arguing with the way it played out, how do you think it should have been officiated? There were several players who were moving just prior to the snap. They didn’t all get set for a second. The ball was snapped. That constitutes an illegal shift which is a live ball foul. The snap was fumbled and recovered by Kansas City. Chiefs ball. What is the possible alternative? 4 minutes ago, NewEra said: Are kickers not part of special teams? Yes, I was pointing out the absurdity of the guy saying that the Patriots were better because New England won games with special teams whereas the Chiefs don’t. 1 Quote

Mahomes has been incredibly lucky to still be relatively healthy given the number of sacks he has taken this year. Having an elite Center and guards is all well and good, but I thought Crosby was going to break him in half a couple of times. Karlafitis was lunching on their left tackle most of the second half. I imagine the Chief's newly acquired just off IR tackle will be starting next week. 1 Quote
