No true #1 WR, no LT, no #2 CB, a replacement level kicker. It doesn't matter. They are the ultimate "find a way" team. You aren't going to find it in any of the data. But it is right there in the win/loss record. One team managed to overcome them because one player did to them what they usually do to everyone else. Only one player in the entire league is capable of stopping 19-1 and the first ever three-peat. Im not buying it. The Raiders and Panthers went through their D like a hot knife through butter when they needed to. i don’t think the KC defense is as good. Rashee Rice and MVS were huge in the playoffs. Kelce played big in postseason and he seems to have aged a bit in one year. Mahomes i’ll give you because he Will step it up in the playoffs like he always does. i just think all the close wins come back at you at some point and become some close losses. Quote

They have relied on flukey BS like pass interference on 4th and a mile, a center snapping the ball when he shouldn’t, or blocking a chip shot would-be game winning FG. If the roles were reversed I would be calling the Bills frauds. what you just described as flukey bs...is the chiefs playing the game fundamentally sound and not making back breaking mistakes. know why the bills beat them last week, it's because they can play the fundamentally sound brand of football and have a unicorn at qb just like KC. I sure as hell hope they lose 3 of 5 to finish the season but again it's highly unlikely. 1 Quote

The refs decidedly gave KC the game. If they call the proper penalty of a false start, it’s a dead ball and remains Raiders ball. By claiming a illegal motion they can claim it’s a live ball foul while also ignoring the whistles that came in prior to the ball even being recovered. 1 Quote

Steelers, Chargers, broncos, Texans will all be tough games for them. Even the Browns may give them a tough time it won’t matter. They will have the help of the officials and whatever black magic deal their franchise is under. Disgusting to watch 4 Quote

They have to play two nfc west teams fighting to win the division and then the nfc's best team at detroit. I think that is a very hard 3 game stretch. 5 of 6 teams with losing records. They have much better chance of running the table than KC. Quote
Success Posted November 29 Posted November 29 I've watched football a long time. When I stack up the times I've felt sick to my stomach vs. the times I've felt jubilant - it really makes me wonder if I'm using my time wisely. 2 2 Quote

They just won by a combined 5 points vs 2 of the 3 worst teams in the league. They chiefs can lose to anyone. 1 Quote

I personally do not hear a whistle until around the time KC recovers the ball but the one ref runs in signaling false start almost immediately so I have to assume he also blew his whistle. It does seem like illegal shift is probably the correct call but if the play was truly blown dead it shouldn't count anyways. 1 Quote

Being good fundamentally doesn’t award them drive saving calls or inexplicable oddities that make the opposing team to lose. Blocking a field goal is an aggravating but skilled play. Somehow getting the Raiders to false start snap to an unprepared QB and then get the refs to go in your favor with the call isn’t anything to do with KC being talented or clutch, that’s pure luck. 1 Quote
MJS Posted November 29 Posted November 29 The Chiefs continue to be the luckiest team ever. It is super annoying. 1 Quote
Mikie2times Posted November 29 Posted November 29 It just doesn't matter who they play. Every game will be a one score affair down to the wire and they're really good and being on the right side of those situations. If you're looking for style points to declare why they won't be a postseason threat you're mistaken. That's not who they're at this point and really wasn't last year either. 1 Quote
T.E. Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Pierce said they just wanted to throw out of bounds to take some time off the clock. What a colossal idiot even risking a snap there with a bad QB and bad line. 1 Quote

They had to go down and run their two minute drill perfectly then leave enough time for their kicker to have a shot. then they need to execute the kick. KC puts so much pressure on other teams to be perfect because you know going in they will not beat themselves and if you do not believe me then go back and search this thread for all the posts (myself included) about how the game felt over when the raiders missed their second field goal attempt. IF yo make mistakes you lose because they will not. 2 Quote

WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted November 29 Posted November 29 On the plus side, have you seen how the Chiefs are playing these last few weeks? They got a ridiculous special teams play vs the Broncos, got beaten by a battered Bills team by more than a score and beat two of the worst teams in the league by a combined 5 points. Yes, the BS is real. But coming up is: -two current AFC division leaders (Steelers and Texans) -two playoff caliber division rivals desperate for WC spots (Chargers and Broncos rematches) -a fluky Browns team that I have no idea what to expect of week to week If the last month of play continues I think there's a reasonable chance they lose two and even then if they reach the playoffs playing like this? 1 Quote

Both OT’s are not good, and if not for Andy Reid whining about the penalties Taylor got in the season opener last year, they would be flagged every play. The CB is not good. They are not getting out of the first round. 1 Quote
