yes i understand that.  They already beat denver and LA once this year so what makes it so improbably they would beat them again?

There is no column in the standings labeled "Almost".  Wins, Loss and Ties.  That is all their is.

and the golden rule is, It's not HOW it's How many.  for the chiefs it currently is 11

Yeah you’re right man, they can play like this - the rest of the year and go through the AFC and NFC and win another Super Bowl.

I think it’s a little bit dubious to just look at record when projecting future games lol. We’ll see what happens though.  This same argument happened over the 12-0 Steelers and it very much went the ‘eye test’ route

So when they lost to this same team on Christmas last year, which ended a streak where they lost 5 games in 8, what did that mean in the end?

It will be easier for everybody if you accept that they are going to win every single game exactly like this all the way to holding the Lombardi, unless one player stops them.

No no,  i do not believe they are preordained to win all their close games.  When they play the good teams, This will flip around more. They aren’t even as good as last season even though they were mediocre during most of 2023.

“Highly unlikely” the Bills win out?  They will be favored by a touchdown or more in every game except Detroit. They have much better chance to win out than KC.

I’d be very shocked if the Bills won out.
The Chiefs will get the 1 spot, probably beat Buffalo in KC, and then somehow end up in the super bowl again.

Yeah I’m not bitter..

Refs botched this one bad. There was no illegal shift - show me who moves for the Raiders. Second - they blew the play dead before the recovery.

Exactly. I don't see any motion/shift. Does O'Connell moving when the ball is snapped constitute an illegal shift? That's the only thing I can think of.

True, however they remind me a lot of the Steelers from a couple years ago where they had a really good record but were scraping by a lot. IIRC once they lost once they lost a couple more and were one and done in the playoffs.

The Chiefs line is a legit problem for them. Even with all the assistance they get it's still a problem.

But the chiefs just did this last year?  They didn't beat any good teams in the regular season last year off the top of my head then they won in buffalo and in baltimore and a super bowl.

what do the steelers have to do with anything?  There identity is losing playoff games, the polar opposite of KC.

That’s what happened!  And they aren’t showing it with sound on the postgame half the players stopped and one ref - the guy who threw the flag was giving the false start signal as the ball was on the ground.

Nah they're a better team right now than they were last year. I know it makes no sense given the injuries. No true #1 WR, no LT, no #2 CB, a replacement level kicker. It doesn't matter. They are the ultimate "find a way" team. You aren't going to find it in any of the data. But it is right there in the win/loss record. One team managed to overcome them because one player did to them what they usually do to everyone else. Only one player in the entire league is capable of stopping 19-1 and the first ever three-peat.

Another fine example of why the NFL is classified as “entertainment”  not a sport

what a joke.

that nonsense happens to anyone else, play was blown dead. Ref came running in signaled FALSE START

little ref meeting, “just give em the game”

so sick of watching this crap

it’s incredible we beat them

Did you miss last season?

They were clearly inferior to Baltimore and SF.

so three missed field goals, getting stuffed on 4th and 1 and committing repeated pass interference penalties to extend drives for KC is fundamentally sound football?

Ok then.

What? You just disproved your own argument with what I was gonna say to you haha. Teams don’t have to play even close to a perfect game to beat kc anymore.  Heck the bills didn’t
